If the cables are adjusted too tight they will cause the throttle to stick.

If you make the alum air box to the same dimensions it will work the same power wise. Back in the day there was a company by Chicago that imported super trick aluminum parts like gas tanks & a sub frame with the air box made into it.....I think it was on the line racing.

I have seen dyno runs where they remove the air box and just run a big K&N filter but......Big HP loss everywhere except WFO......so why do it?

Sorry but there is no easy way to say this but.........Can I question your mechanical ability? How did you check the head for warpage??? How did you pressure check the coolong system??? What gasket are you calling the head gasket?
