LP31 Started a new thread SMX Showdowns

Why not get rid of the 3 SMX at the end of the year and have 3 SMX Showdowns at Daytona and 3 other speedways during the SX series. Huge money like now and all of the 250 riders in their class too. Still have the 17 SX and 11 MX races and done for the year.

Seriously, big props to Hymas (I know he's not going anymore), Coop and Eli to answer the call positively and go to England. There isn't much upside for the guys going other than winning. Huge expectations, most likely difficult conditions in October in England, no money, postpones their vacation/time off & delays SX testing. So, yes, props to them! I know the feeling... The first time we won MXDN for France in 01 in Namur, I got a call last minute to replace someone (I forgot who) right after 9/11. I said yes before knowing I could even jump on...

In what I'm sure was already a prosperous year between the two boys, having another 1.5 mil into the family income (minus tax and cut for the team) sure is a nice cherry on top. Hope the boys shout ya something nice

Guys, that unpaid job is maybe one of the worst in the industry. If the team wins, riders did amazing. If the team sucks, the team manager sucks and should've picked better guys. Just like coaches or trainers (other than Aldon)... The rider wins, everyone says "it's the rider on the bike". The rider loses, "his coach and his program suck". I think there's a lot of stuff going on behind the scene for a MXDN team that we don't know, rider availability, their will to go, teams not supporting the race, riders having to nurse injuries before the SX...

I have no dog in this fight, but I think it's bullshit if Star funds Webb to go but makes the Brits lease Anstie's bike. Either Star sends both guys, or the AMA leases a bike for Webb.

Id like to see Chase and Kenny team up on Yamahas with Larry Brooks as Team Manager. Apparently Chase really liked the Yam and Kenny is looking for something new following a key team member.
