RJ with KTM brand seems like obvious fill in if needed.
I’m a huge Hymas fan, but if RJ does well tonight, I don’t see how they can’t at least consider him for the team.
Last year's MXoN would be a good reason.
It's not that Star won't support it, they just won't do it for free...so if you want to see Star at the MXDN don't forget to buy something from the AMA bake sale or lemonaide stand to help support the team....
RJ did not ride bad when he had it on 2 wheels. He had good speed, he just had unfortunate crashes in both of his races...
This is a huge bummer, and I hope Hymus heals up in time for the 2025 season. Realisticly, he should have been more sober given his injury, with his decision to race SMX and MXoN. I understand that they dangle that carrot out in front of these riders, but it was a bad decision to add him to the MXoN team with an injury like his.
I think Cooper or Kitchen would be a good choice, but the likelihood of either is slim. Perhaps Hymas will be well enough to race MXoN, but again, I think he needs to do what's best for his health and career, and not risk that for one race.
Kind of brutal reality of the sport that a teenager with career in front of him feels like he can't take few months off to get his ACL fixed and instead fights it forever.....
