God speed , I remember seeing them at Glen Helen ,all the time on minis , I remember one time ,Jeff was always, playing around , they had a pile of dirt up top by the Rem tower (,nobody parked up there back then) , he was playing around doing 180 's ,off a hip of 5 feet of dirt , like they always did for the covers of dirt bike magazine. Not to many people got to see that . Lol 🍻

I met Tony and the boys at Thunder Valley. Tony in his lawn chair watching the action...Mike and Jeff with their "entourage" of younger kids. The family interaction was really cool and fun. Jeffy remembered me here on Vital from that meeting. Invited me out to their place several times but...you know...life gets in the way. When I saw this thread...I was/am gutted. I'm just so damn mad at the universe at the moment.

Seemed like a reasonable post at first and you got decent feedback, but now that post now feels more like self-centered narcissism after the showing here.

Condoleances from France too. He had many fans there as well. Here is a pic from Bercy 2004 (credit to MX2K). You can't do better than racing Bercy from 14 !

I just got done watching a bunch of kids posting videos of their coach and, messages from Jeff to these kids on Tik Tok. He had a huge impact in a positive way on them. My condolences to the family and, friends of Jeff.

I grew up racing in what I will always think of as the peak of amateur racing. Late 90’s early 00’s. Never met them personally but have had the privilege of racing the same amateur nationals for a lot of years. Theres no doubt that a lot of young racers at the time looked up to the Alessi family just like I did. Sincere condolences to all friends and family. Thank you for the memories. RIP 801

Such sad news. I dont know any of the Alessi family personally but I have met both boys and Tony at the races many times over the years. All 3 of them treated me like I was their friend even though we had just met. The boys were always so respectful and talkative. This family is pure moto and it’s so sad to lose one of them. Prayers to all of the Alessi family/friends. RIP Jeff…you were a good guy and a fantastic rider

Jeff was a good dude. 2016 I think it was Anaheim 2. He was pitting behind the MCR rig when my grandson wandered over and Jeff spent probable 10 minutes with him, put him on his bike and let him rev it. A few stickers, and he had made a fan for life. My grandson always looked for 801 any time there was a race going. RIP Jeff.

It was cool when he would post on here. Similar in age, I still remember a magazine of both the boys ripping on 80’s and looking so factory. I used to look at the pictures everyday wishing I could have that. RIP Jeff.

I only raced nationals one season and it happened to be 2003 which was the year the Alessi's traveled the country hitting all the national tracks to prepare for 2004 when they planned to go pro. I saw them a good bit that year, they smoked everyone on those amateur days. I remember being blown away by the dedication they had to ride around the country in that SUV/Trailer and make that work. It definitely is a very close knit family dynamic. They are an institution as far as motocross families go... God speed Jeff.
