Met Mike and Jeff at a diner before amateur day at washougal their first year on ktm’s. They actually took the time and chatted with us for a little bit before we got sat down and told us to come by the rig on Saturday after the motos. They both gave us gear from the day and signed it! They raced Elsinore super Saturday races quite a few times and were always super nice and respectful to the scoring ladies(all of our moms) and would be on the side of the track during the 65 motos cheering everyone on. Jeff was a nice guy and would chat with anyone on here. Very sad to hear this. Every kid that grew up watching mini warriors looked up to both of them. RIP.
I never met the man but briefly. But he and his brother grew up in front of all our eyes in Cycle News and on tracks around this nation. If you are a true fan of this sport, you've just lost what feels like a member of your family. My deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones. You are all in my prayers. Jeff is in the Lord's glory.
Seemed like a reasonable post at first and you got decent feedback, but now that post now feels more like self-centered narcissism after the showing here.
RIP #801

What terrible news. Roost in peace Jeff. Prayers and condolences to the Alessi family.
RIP Jeff and condolences to the family.
I met Tony and the boys at Thunder Valley. Tony in his lawn chair watching the action...Mike and Jeff with their "entourage" of younger kids. The family interaction was really cool and fun.
Jeffy remembered me here on Vital from that meeting. Invited me out to their place several times but...you know...life gets in the way. When I saw this thread...I was/am gutted. I'm just so damn mad at the universe at the moment.
Wow. Imagine pulling up to the line and having an Alessi on either side of you!
Thoughts and Prayers To the Alessi family . R.I.P 801
My thoughts and prayers will be with the Alessi's. I am sure Tony and Mike (and the family) are devastated. Tony always had Jeff in the corner of his eye, and loves those boys fiercely.
I got to hang around Jeff once in a while, darn funny guy, always super cool to the kids and fans that approached him. He always supported our charity and was always good for a jersey or two for our fund raiser auctions.
I don't know if Tony still comes on here once in a while, I will text him in a few days, and tell him everyone here had a lot of kind words and have the Alessi's in their thoughts/prayers. He is a man of faith and will appreciate that.
Godspeed to your transition Jeff, and thank you for the good you left (the sport) behind.
RIP 801!
Rip Jeff. As a dad who has buried a son i feel so sorry for tony and his family. No matter the problems we ever have with our children they will always be your baby!! God speed Jeff. So sorry to hear this!!
I can help you out, STFU
Godspeed JA801 and condolences to his family
Omg, Mike’s knee is almost hitting his chin here 😂. Forgot how small he was when they got on big bikes.
He's gone.
Never judge a book by its cover.
RIP #801
Oh, you just asked a question. Then whatever you said must be fine. It’s not as though you can tell anything about a person from the quality of questions they ask.
Pit Row
I have a son the same age as Jeff. Gutted for the family. Thoughts and prayers to his Mom, Dad, brother, as well as family and friends in this time of grief. Godspeed young man.
Way way way to young.
RIP.
This is so sad. I’ll be praying for
the Alessi family.
Dude - just stop…
Go fuck yourself, you piece of shit
RIP
God speed , I remember seeing them at Glen Helen ,all the time on minis , I remember one time ,Jeff was always, playing around , they had a pile of dirt up top by the Rem tower (,nobody parked up there back then) , he was playing around doing 180 's ,off a hip of 5 feet of dirt , like they always did for the covers of dirt bike magazine. Not to many people got to see that . Lol 🍻
Godspeed Jeff. RIP moto brother
Ride In Peace Jeff. My thoughts go out to his family and friends.
We’ve all done some stupid things in our life….lucky for most of us we weren’t in the spotlight.
I always rooted for Jeff if for no other reason than Mike got all the attention.…somewhere around 2005ish we met them at unadilla and Jeff let my then 2 year old daughter climb all over his bike and he was genuinely enjoying it.
RIP kid.
The Alessi family are as core as it gets. Super bummed on this all day. The whole Alessi family always nice to me over the years. Rest easy Jeff.
