0-22, 38 seconds back was posted in every thread this summer. Now it’s no big deal that he won? A muddy SX main event is one thing, but to go out and do it twice on the same track as everyone else, with an average lap time of 17 seconds faster than the guy that beat you all summer and narrowly missed the SX title is damn good. Deegan himself acknowledged that it was a mud race, but he and Kenny put a whoopin on everyone yesterday. Good thing the motos were shortened, he would have lapped up to 3rd...

Pretty lame they decided against the big elevated sweeper behind the start. Seems like the SMX tracks are always worse versions of the original track maps.

Yes, Cooper Webb of all people. Herr Lich bagged on him relentlessly for "cut and run" for a cheeseburger as soon as he could leave the MX series. If HL wasn't clicked (or reincarnated as Wolfman) he would owe Cooper a big apology.

Being a self employed construction worker who actually gives a damn about delivering a quality product is absolutely maddening these days. Materials arriving damaged with boxes or wrapping that is in perfect shape means the company is knowingly sending out damaged goods in hopes that you will either not care or not notice their shit product. What really keeps me up at night is what does it look like in another 5/10 years from now?

Relationships go a long way. I used to drive 30 miles and past 3 other dealerships to go to the guy that I knew would take care of me, that actually stocked parts, if they didn’t have a part they would take one off a vehicle on the floor just so we could race that weekend. That guy earned all my business. I have to imagine he wanted to just tell me to FO more than once.

Retail is wild these days. I like buying stuff in person because I'm old and don't like waiting three days. Went into Best Buy for a pretty common cable and noticed a lot of the inventory is gone. Asked an employee who walked over and stared at a very limited cable section and said "you should probably just buy it online." Can't be long until this store shuts its doors. I guess they gave up.

Yes they can. Why would I send this guy back to another dealer? The guy worked at another dealership where they tell you a price of $4995 for a KX450 and then once you are there it is now $9000. Why does that matter? He loved doing it. I don't like that shit. He doesn't work at the dealership anymore but he has bought multiple machines and not one time called us for a price. He drove 4 1/2 hours to buy them. He breaks the door panel and thinks he is doing us a favor letting us warranty it...

Part of the reason for the automated menu systems is all the AI automated spam calls. We would get between 30 and 50 calls per day that we had to answer, it was time consuming and would make you not want to answer the phone with a smile. We had menu system installed, not one spammer has gotten through. What a relief. So, blame spammers for small business automated answering systems.

On the bad customer side, I’ve seen people who were absolutely at fault breaking something, blatantly lie to get a free replacement and get mad when told no. Warranties, insurance companies, whatever they can suck a dollar out of.. On the business side, a lot of employees just don’t care at all. The RV industry has a lot of that.

I call it the Walmart times. Hey these baby diapers have shit in them, I want a refund!! This half eaten pizza tastes like shit. I want my money back. Walmart, along with Costco will take anything back. Most in the motorcycle industry can't afford to take everything back. I had a good employee that had a shit attitude and I had to fire them because they would tell the customer to fuck off. A great example happened today. Customer calls, has a door panel off of a new SXS machine that the tab broke off when he took the...

As someone who has a business that has to do customer service, a huge part of the issue is customers. They have zero patience. Want things yesterday. Blah blah. It’s brutal to give folks service and customers have gotten worse in the last few years.

No It was being forced down our throats for sure, companies wanted those fat taxpayer incentives. Grants, tax breaks, no interest loans you name it. Just like cars take away the taxpayer funding and bingo they lose money. Same as any solar panel, wind farm, etc.

Think of AC and DC motors like two different kinds of dirt bikes. An AC motor likes to run at one steady speed when plugged into the wall, while a DC motor is easier to control with the throttle. DC motors are usually smaller, provide strong power from a stop, run directly from a battery, and make it easy to change speed or direction. Brushless DC motors are especially efficient and powerful, and they have no brushes to wear out. That is why they are used in drones and modern RC planes.

I’ve seen a few videos recently on hydrogen engines, JCB now offers a hydrogen engine and BMW offers a hydrogen engines X5 in some markets. Watching the video on the jcb engine, it’s practically the same apart from a few bits and bobs. It’s so frustrating watching all the governments lean towards EV when mining the materials for batteries is just as damaging as emissions.
