11/17/2023 12:52pm You say in your 1st message that "if this happens again there will be consequences". Sorry but that is a threat, going into someone else's pits to "have a talk" with a kid will get you knocked out in most parts of the country. Shit happens on the track and it should be left on the track. Maybe park the helicopter and let your kid be a kid or take up lawn darts.

11/17/2023 8:15am I did a search on here yesterday after I posted. Multiple threads and comments popped up about both of them. Hillbilly had some of the funniest posts about them both. The crashing into Kerry trying to break his leg had me laughing like hell. Im betting me and Hillbilly were at many of the same Muddy Creek races in the...

11/17/2023 8:09am I knew Ron "Wirehead" Jones well and he always was fast. His brother Kerry was a bigger hot head than him.

11/17/2023 6:07am I grew up in a different time... Today kids coming out of college are complaining about a 9 to 5 work week. I still put in 50+ a week and I'm only 3 years from retirement. Racing in the 70's and early 80's, my dad always said that I was the only one that really knew what went on out on the track and that if it needed to be dealt with, I would have the opportunity to deal with it when the time was right, on the track...

11/16/2023 12:03pm Kerry pulled that same shit on a buddy of mine. They tangled a little on the track and after the moto Kerry ghosted his bike in the pits toward my friend and ended up taking a PW50 rider out. They had to be pulled apart by Sam and others, but nothing was ever done with Kerry.

11/16/2023 12:03pm You dont get it. So,just one of you saw it yet all know it wasnt dirty or intentional. Sipes had no idea he was close,Stewart could easily hit the rear brake, slid a litt l e sideways and bump sipes rear tire. Instead he drove straight thru hooking his bar. Back in the early 80s MC was non ama and paid good for expert classes. Wirehead Jones was the king then,it was cut throat brutal racing. Wireheads brother,Kerry was slower but very dirty. One day in the 500 class I was sailing up the bottom ,last straight before the finish. Track...

11/16/2023 11:49am Not sure if anyone on here remembers "Wirehead" Jones from TN in the 90's. He was fast "vet" pro ,before there were any Vet classes. He just raced A class all the time and did pretty damn good as a 40 YO at the time. Then one day at track in Madison County NC, a fast 15 yo kid on...

11/16/2023 6:56am So I did - picked up a leftover but new 2018 XCF-350 - have not ridden as much as I would like, still semi-working - when I do ride I like it. Thought I would do more moto, but some nice trails are getting to be more appealing!

11/14/2023 12:43pm The Cathey's Creek guy used to have open practices on occasion and I would go. Fun when on the track, which I would describe as a 3/4 scale moto track. Problem was that there were a lot of classes. even quads. even the two PW50's that showed up, 65's minis, A, B, C clases. Dude had 8 or 9 practice classes @ 20 min on the track per class. The riding vs. standing around with thumb up ass ratio was way, way out of wack. Then there was an hour for mid day track maintenance... It was the most agonizingly...

11/1/2023 8:27am Thanks! Surprisingly, I couldn't find anything under the exclusions section regarding dirtbikes, mountainbikes, or any of the like. It was 130+ pages of legal crap so I suppose it is likely I missed it.

11/1/2023 8:22am My son broke his ankle on my bike back in May. He was riding on a single track trail in the Mountains, therefore, it was a "mountain bike" accident. He got the same form from insurance a few weeks later. Filled it out as a Mountain Bike injury. Also, I have been an agent for 32 years. I agree with...

11/1/2023 8:19am If your insurance is the same as mine, its an optional form. I throw it in the trash and move on. They may mail you another one which will get the same fate. It in no way affects your coverage. They send it to me even when I do wreck my mountain bike...

10/31/2023 10:53am Iron City is the track in Blacksburg SC I just wish they posted better about when there was going to have a ride day. I always see posts after they have them and Moto Hose home base is 20 minutes from there.
