We were watching from the PU tent and it happened a turn before the step. Up.

We are Sipes fans and was proud he was in top 10,I had him 8th .

Sipes had made his turn on the far outside and driving out when Stewart plowed him thru.

Took him a few to get up,I was hoping he would wait for #7 and plow him under .

He got going just ahead of 7 and I didn't see any retaliation.

I know that I'd waited and made sure he knew not to ever get close again.

You know if it is taken back to the pits the #7 posse is gonna step in.

Is Sipes that nice? Stewart's focus that off?

I dont get how you can let that go.

I doubt it was intentional, Stew's not a dirty rider. And yes Sipes is that nice, but I'm sure that if he felt it was dirty, he would have retaliated.

Stewart will ride as aggressively as anybody, but he's not known to intentionally punt a rider unless he's pushed first or that rider is riding like an idiot (not saying Sipes was at all). I didn't see it...so I can't give details, but it could have simply been a committment by Stewart to a line, and Sipes' failure to check up.

At High Point, a lapper moved into Stewart's way which caused Stewart to stuff Canard. Over the next jump Stewart gave an apologetic wave.

I doubt the Sipes take out was intentional.

Yeah I think he was in charge mode. He must have passed 30 riders that moto 29 cleanly.

Hey an off road guy shows up and gets in the way of a championship contender all bets are off. I've met the Sipes and they are super cool folks, I hope Ryan is ok but there's a reason he's gone to GNCC. I'd feel the same way if Dowd shows up at south wick. Oh that's right we lost our only sand track.

Really, stew isn't a dirty rider? I'm not trying to down the guy and he has been a whole lot better about it in the past few years, but he has done some pretty stupid takeout moves in the past. Maybe not dirty, but he doesn't have as clean of a track record as most of the other riders.

I can't think of an instance where he has intentionally taken someone out?

Not lately, no, as I have said he has really made a positive change in his riding style. The one that really sticks out for me in MC at Anaheim I think it was, maybe in 06 or 07?
7/1/2014 4:05pm
He had already passed 20 riders at least each moto without taking any of those guys out. Surely someone else was in his way at one point or another.

Motocross is not for pansies. Shit happens.

I can't say for sure that it was unintentional, but I know that it was uncharacteristic.

I have said a lot of shit about JS over the years..... At one time I said he was reckless on the track, at the time I think it was true (dude was taking people out left and right trying to blitz every section of the track). I said he wasn't into racing, at the time I think it was true(I think he had the Windham/Bradshaw bug and was kind of burned out on with it. I mean, shit, it's ALL these guys do starting at age 5 and he was getting injured just about every time he sat on a bike). I said recently I think he may have been using Adderal as an advantage, I think that may be the case but only James knows the answer........

One thing I have never said is the guy is a dirty rider. If he took someone out I would find it hard to believe it was intentional.

I saw it from a distance, James was jumping that very rutted small table that not very many riders were doing. He dove to the inside and jumped that table top and I don't think Ryan Sipes expected that, and then james accidentally took him out in the corner below that.

Watch the video, I'm sure you think that MC " the king of Supercross" is also a dirty rider right? Or come back and say that Alessi's, Friese's or Hansen' take outs are never intentional. Pfffft really!!!!

come on, that doesn't make as good of a story as JS7 intentionally taking him out.

get with the program..

I interpreted Hillbilly's question as to why Sipes didn't retaliate. I agree, you get taken out, return the favor. As far as golf, I've gotten into a couple of fights on the golf course. There are no sports without friction.

That wave was pretty funny. Sorry about the contact but you're no longer an issue. Of course he was negotiating a corner while he was waving. . . Impressive and funny all at the same time. JS was getting around Canard that race eventually anyways.

You dont get it.

So,just one of you saw it yet all know it wasnt dirty or intentional.

Sipes had no idea he was close,Stewart could easily hit the rear brake, slid a litt l e sideways and bump sipes rear tire.

Instead he drove straight thru hooking his bar.

Back in the early 80s MC was non ama and paid good for expert classes.

Wirehead Jones was the king then,it was cut throat brutal racing. Wireheads brother,Kerry was slower but very dirty.

One day in the 500 class I was sailing up the bottom ,last straight before the finish. Track was much different then with singles up that section. I saw Kerry on the left ,rolling, figured he had bike issues. Off the last single, deep into 4th gear he looks back and pulls into my line. I tag him and crash end over end,he rides on.

The track then went like today, back to the tower and away but in the next holler where the whoops are it looped back right toward the tower across the bottom of the holler then left up into where the pits are now.

I picked up and fired ,Kerry was making that last right loop, I drove straight across those track sections. And as he was heading into the left to go up hill I wheelied right into him, hoping to break his leg. It mowed him over and I rode to my truck just above the tower ,set bike on stand and sat down, gear on.

He gathered up and came charging ,tried to run over me in my chair, thru his bike down and started swinging. He was dizzy and missing ,I tagged his gomer pyle chin a few, track owner and others were trying to stop it,a knife was even pulled.

When we quit I told him if that happened again I'd try to kill him even if it ment banned forever, we were good after that.

If in Sipes boots,I'd waited till he came around, made sure the bike would fire but acting like it wouldn't. When he got there, fire it,hold it open and run him over acting like the throttle stuck while helping him up.

But,I guess I'm just a mean sum bitch.

Kerry pulled that same shit on a buddy of mine. They tangled a little on the track and after the moto Kerry ghosted his bike in the pits toward my friend and ended up taking a PW50 rider out. They had to be pulled apart by Sam and others, but nothing was ever done with Kerry.
