jsmx97 Started a new thread Crankshaft assembly jig
1/4/2021 9:25am Does anyone know of a K+L or similar crankshaft assembly jig for sale? Used, new, it doesn't matter. I am referring to the jig that assemble the crankshaft halves when replacing the connecting rod.
Very interested and looking to buy...sick of paying other people to do what I know how to do.
If any of you guys know of any...

5/6/2020 4:58pm Dealer A sells 10 bikes at full MSRP. Say that's $10,000 with $4,000 in profit. Dealer B sells 40 bikes for a discounted rate of $7,000 and had $1,000 in profit. 2 different business models. Same result. Dealer A actually did less work and had to prep and deliver 30 less bikes for the same money. Heavily discounting your inventory only makes sense if your doing very large volumes. Not every dealer can be a volume dealer. There are geographical road blocks that prevent that. Just another great example of the internet killing small business. Joe blow is now driving...

1/28/2019 6:58pm Side X Side customers are the best! They don't expect us to sell them everything for cost like most MX guys who walk through the door. They love their sport & are willing to pay for it. Not sure why moto guys are so cheap... 9 out of 10 of them will drive 200 miles to save $200... on a...

1/28/2019 6:39pm To the OP, Here is how it works: Dealer invoice= true cost+holdback (amount paid back to dealer at time of sale, in my opinion a garbage idea designed to steal income from commissioned salesman & also steal cashflow from the dealer.) Freight is a separate charge paid by the dealer, sometimes discounted if it is during an order period. Some...

3/24/2017 10:14am Rob, I read your post and I can see your stand point. In my experience growing up racing and dealing with many different shops/dealers, times have certainly changed. Now a days many seem to have less in stock, longer ordering times, less knowledgeable staff, etc. Not all fall into this group... I own a shop/dealer called ST.HILAIRE MOTORSPORTS up the...

3/10/2017 11:23am I have been using VP C9 for a couple years in my stock 450's with good results. It is 96 octane, unleaded, non-oxygenated. It is a great pump fuel replacement for a stock engine for someone who wants a clean, consistent fuel with a bit more detonation protection.

5/23/2016 9:18am I put the Hinson bracket on a 2015 CRF250 and it made the clutch pull easier and a lot more of a positive feel. Not sure on 450 though.

4/27/2016 6:18am KX125 needs cases clearanced on the front side for the 58mm piston. The athena 144 kit works pretty good although I will say I think the quality is not up to par with oem. All athena cylinder kits I have installed could benefit from additional port work.

4/21/2016 9:34am When it becomes seized, remove the crank bolt access plug and try turning the engine over by hand. That will be a good indicator as to whether it is an issue in the engine rotating assembly, or possibly a kickstarter/other issue. Regardless what the issue is, you should never force the engine past a seized point by force... figure out...

4/7/2016 10:36am Have your crank rebuilt with an oem or Pro X connecting rod. Wiseco cranks are absolute garbage. Hot rods are a bit better, but on the RM250 they use plastic crank stuffers that i've seen distorted enough to rub on the cases.

3/25/2016 10:58am Did you check both wires going from ECM to injector plug for continuity in case either wire broke? Should be a green/white wire and a red wire If you put 12v DC to the injector, you may have ruined it, they work of sub-5v. Test the injector resistance itself, RMZ450 injector resistance is around 10 ohms (9.5-11.5) @ 68 F...
