For a RM 250, are they a good choice or am I better off with something else??

I'm a big believer in OEM parts, but I don't think I could even buy the seals & gaskets for the price of this kit I found.

They are ok for your bike, but with any new crank it is best to have it trued prior to installing. This brand has a history of failures when installed without being properly trued. Don't just install right out of the box as it most likely is not trued.
FYI: I would not use this product line on any 4 stroke engine due to the failure rate.

Interesting, would you say the same for just about any crank??

There are a number of older threads about Wiseco cranks. The consensus seems to be that they are or at least were junk. Personally, I have had good luck with Hot Rods cranks. You could also have someone rebuild yours pretty reasonably.

Yes! ( but the failure rate of this brand in 4 strokes is very high. The 2 stroke failures are better, if the crank is trued prior to the install. Hot Rods are better, but here again it must be trued. )

Have your crank rebuilt with an oem or Pro X connecting rod. Wiseco cranks are absolute garbage.

Hot rods are a bit better, but on the RM250 they use plastic crank stuffers that i've seen distorted enough to rub on the cases.

Thanks for all the info, have a guy that could rebuild mine think ill go that way!

This all started from my other topic on the bike spitting out all kinds of spooge.

I took it all apart and removed the old seal and I am able to wiggle the crank very slightly, which im pretty sure it shouldn't .

Its a little odd to me in a way, the bike doesn't vibrate or anything I do notice a very slight growl from down there but that's bout it.

So it's the crank end bearings that are bad and not the crank, right?

Ya, looking at the end of the Crank Shaft from the seal side I can get a little movement up and down, as in up to cylinder and down to the floor.

I think the crank should be OK, re-buildable

Total trash. I strongly advise against it. Send your crank to crank works.

I second this. Wiseco cranks are chinese made junk. Go OEM if you can afford it. Otherwise go Hot Rods or Wossner to save some cash while maintaining quality.

My RM125 was rebuilt with a Wiseco, check the alignment and run out, it met the OEM specs well within tolerance. Been in the bike going on 3 years now, runs perfect, revs to the moon, super smooth. Just my experience.

Didn't even make it 25 hours in my old honda.

My friend just rebuilt his rm125 and bought one. I warned him over and over not to buy one, I even showed him multiple threads like this from google. He's very hard headed and thinks everyone messed up installing it. I said ok well I warned you, call me when it blows up.

It's coming apart just waiting for my crankcase separator I ordered.

It already had a hot rods crank in it, from before my days with it. The piston is really scoured , and there is the start of some pitting in the cylinder head.
Cylinder is in decent shape , thankfully.

It's a Namura piston, I'm guessing that's a real hi-end piece

What would be the cause of pitting like this ?? Could it be pieces of crank bearings since there definitely movement in the clutch side one ?

Head starting to pit as well
