racingfortheson Liked a forum topic Finally a new track idea.

A local guy has made and amazing idea for a track and it’s the most fun I’ve had on a track in a while. He has a pitbike track built and working on his full size track. before you commit about it, it’s 100% traction. It’s not slippery at all and the track is perfect. It even holds up well to bike tires. If you’re anywhere close to East Texas, it’s a must try. https://www.instagram.com/maddenmxplayground?igsh=dW5yY2RmemhnbTkw

New record! First rookie to get lapped in his 2nd premier class race that was a mudder and didn’t get injured or have a bike problem.

The shroud designer needs to be fired... Honestly just keep the plastics the same and work on the frame and suspension. They have the best looking Honda ever right now. Edit: Or just refine the plastics like KTM did with the FE this year.

First off, it's good to see that Varize is OK and went on to race the next day. The clamps that failed in this case were the WP Powerparts clamps. They're stock on the factory edition, but I wouldn't consider them stock in the general sense. Most people are buying these as aftermarket parts to upgrade the clamps on their non-factory edition bikes. I do find it interesting that when it was our clamps that failed in this manner, it was a huge ordeal with multiple posts, Instagram mentions, podcast interviews, etc., but when it's a KTM/WP part it's not...

Hey, so I did some digging and emailing... This is what I got back from a company who does FEA and stress testing on mountain bikes, when asked if a frame will, "soften" or "break in" over time. "No, the stiffness will not change from day one of riding a bike to day 200. It won't even change over a few years of riding. However, the welds will fatigue over time until cracking one day, but that has no relation to the stiffness or compliance of the bike. So no, there is no "break in" and the bike will feel...

A lot of people in this thread have it figured out already, but I'll throw in a few things: There is absolutely a break-in period for the full bike. Everything seats in, high spots are worn away from moving parts, bushings wear a bit, seals break in, etc., all over the bike. That's A LOT of parts and the rather small contribution of each part adds up quick to a significant difference in feel. This is what I believe most everyone is feeling when they say they prefer a broken in chassis vs. a new one. One thing that I...

This thread really highlights how fucking stupid some people are on this board... I don't understand why some people are so bent out of shape by the original question. OP think his new bike feels underpowered. OP tries to a hit an obstacle that is normally not an issue for OP. OP struggles to clear said obstacle. OP takes out previous bike to make sure OP hasn't forgotten how to ride or how to hit said obstacle. OP clears said obstacle with ease. This confirms OP's original thoughts on bike being underpowered. OP did not start the thread to brag...

Luxon MX Liked a reply to forum topic Wonder who made the clamps

Unfortunately the internet is a place where a photo/video can be posted without any context and the speculation can run wild… I just got off the phone with Riley a few minutes ago, talked about what happened, and have received a few photos of the parts. Here are four important facts about the situation: 1) Riley specifically said that the clamps broke because of the crash and were not the cause of the crash. This is the most important part, and if it were the other way around, this would be a very different story! * When a professional level...
