Innocent until proven guilty doesn't mean shit outside of the courtroom. Guilty people get acquitted all the time. Just because charges were dropped doesn't mean he didn't punch and choke his wife. The neighbors felt strongly enough that Jason was being violent that they called the cops on the millionaire next door. Most people wouldn't do that on a whim.

I don’t think anybody is saying that. I absolutely don’t think they would have jumped if they saw it….but it was there. I also don’t think Jett saw it when he WAS penalized, nor Chase when he WAS penalized…or the dozens of others. (Friese might jump on purpose)…. Racing is hard and guys will miss flags sometimes. It’s often that the flagger’s suck and don’t help. Nobody is saying they saw it and said screw that….but that has never saved riders from penalties in the past. I’m actually more pissed at the 250 deal because it changed the outcome. Regardless...

The flag was out well before Eli got there. It was already out before Hunter even reached the finish that’s why he rolled the finish line double. So Hunter had enough time to see it and roll, but Eli didn’t?

if the flag wasn’t out for Hunter, why did he slow down, the gap close, then he gets straight back up to speed and stretches it back out?

Nothing to do with who benefits. Everything to do with fairness.

Honda has very deep pockets. Comparatively, the AMA doesn't even have pants on, let alone pockets. And Feld have no say in this as they are a promoter, not the governing body that makes and enforces the rules. I hope Honda take this as far as they need to, to make the AMA grovel and come back with their tail between their legs and apply the correct penalties. This whole thing could have been avoided but some pompous prick with an AMA shirt didn't want to be embarrassed for missing 2 obvious infractions.

Let me get this right. It used to be a rule violation if you jumped on a red cross flag or flashing red light. Now, in the 250 class it's okay to jump on a flashing red light as long as there's no red cross flag shown. In the 450 class it's okay to jump on a red cross flag as long as a flashing red light is not shown. Did I get that correct?

The ruling is a bummer and Honda has gotten the short end of the stick several times the last couple of years. Jett at Ironman being docked a full lap was insane. Detroit I believe it was when people didn’t see the red flag off the finish (Eli may have been the only dude to see it?) Now these 2 incidents that happen to only negatively effect Honda

Alright guys, so the takeaway from this is, don’t jump if the red light is on. Unless you’ve got a hunch that we don’t really mean it, then go ahead. There probably isn’t a downed rider over there that you’re gonna land on. The lights were on for both Jo and Pierce, only Jo rolled. The cross flag was shown for Hunter, Eli and co, all jumped except Hunter.

Let’s not forget that there were clear cut incidents, with video evidence, in both mains: red light violations in the 250s and red cross flag violations in the 450s. All previous violations of this nature have been penalised, why not this time? AMA are ignoring their own rule book and setting one hell of a precedent if that is the final result.
