Deegan is part of the reason I think the rest are mentally beat. Between him and the brothers I don't think most of the field thinks they have a chance to even podium. He's undeniably exceptional, intentionally controversial, and yes, still a few steps off from the brothers pace in his rookie year.

The anti deegan crowd likes to insert an alternate reality every week. They'll come on here and argue deegan narratives that dont even exhist. They like to talk about board meeting between him and his dad about what he should say and do from week to week. They really hate self confidence, my guess is they're extremely jealous of anyone who views themselves in a positive way.

Who said Deegs will win? All I heard was this was his best chance, but still not favored.

I listened to countless podcasts this week, as usual, and as usual nobody picked Deegan to win. As mentioned above, many said they felt it was his best chance. I think they said the percentage pie, in their opinion, went up from a 10% chance to maybe 12 or 15%?

I think the ankle is the main reason he's crashing so much and that Hunter has the fitness advantage, yeah. But I don't think he's that much slower anymore compared to last year for example. They're putting 4-6 seconds a lap on the rest of the field except for Deegan and Prado. They're definitely getting faster since Pala aswell. Hunter for sure made a big leap this year. He's pushing a pace we have only seen from Jett and maybe Chase (Chase on rare occasions) so far. Do I think Jett would still win if he was completely healthy? Yeah...

Nice. Already preparing to tarnish Hunta’s shine. Jett came in to the season fully expecting to win the title and has said as much on multiple occasions.

They said the same thing when Deegs was a rookie in the 250s. They said he’d never win anything meaningful or be a champ. They say what they want to happen, not what is likely to happen.
