6/13/2023 2:03pm If that's the case, lesson learned from me. I should know better than to repeat something potentially so tragic, but not yet confirmed. Apologies for spreading potentially false information.

6/13/2023 2:04pm Praying for him to pull through and recover fully! Really disrespectful to spread speculation as fact... let's keep this thread going with updates about his actual condition if possible. Edit: SocalMX, not talking about you, and good on you for taking ownership and recognizing a learning opportunity.

3/13/2022 9:59am One could see an evident growth on someone via a photo/telehealth appointment, but one would need to be seen in person for a biopsy/examination to be sure. That's one simple example, Don.

3/13/2022 9:56am Doesn't take a doctor to know you should proceed with caution after these two blatant concussions.

2/22/2022 10:26am So go ask the" reputable and long time local racer " that you bought it from what is going on. Is he the original owner or did he get it from someone ? That is the first guy I would pay a visit to.

2/22/2022 8:41am Hey Dennis. I've seen you ride back in the 85 days at Whitney, didn't know who you were until I stood next to your dad and he talked with me for the whole moto. I have nothing to add to this story other then I have never seen another dad with more concern about their son being out there, he was a nervous wreck but a really cool guy to spend a minute with. Good luck, wish you well.

2/22/2022 8:40am The OP has come out and admitted he has some serious brain injury issues due to repeated head trauma and you've come to the conclusion that it's impossible to make a comprehension error (later retracted by the OP who apologized) and you're calling BS? That's some serious powers of deduction you have there Sherlock.

2/22/2022 8:39am Well, if we put accelerometers on helmets and collected data about concussion symptoms post crash, we’d have real world data on what helmets work the best. It would help the athletes and the manufacturers of helmets.

2/22/2022 8:37am My point was that you can’t assess for a concussion in between the time a race is stopped and the restart on the side of the track. and They should have had plenty of time to assess since it should be a rule that you can’t be in the restart of a red flag that you cause. They had no clue if he had suffered a concussion when they let him restart.

2/22/2022 8:37am It's amazing that anyone can assess a potential brain injury at the side of a track in the same time it takes a factory mechanic to chance a front brake lever.

2/22/2022 8:35am I’m a neuroscientist. My professional advice to anyone who has hit their head hard, even if not knocked out, would be to take at least 4-6 weeks off and get a new helmet. Nothing is more important than your brain. If you hit your head again and damage healing tissue, the consequences are dramatic. I don’t care if you pass the concussion protocol. There should be accelerometers on helmets with guidance based on force.

2/8/2022 4:23pm Never put something on finger tight, and follow the 10 tool rule. Never have more than 10 tools out of your tool box at one time, if you get more stop and put them away and then start over.
Now with phone and cameras being digital take pictures as you dissemble that way you can go back and look if you have any questions when putting back together.
Clean everything before you work on it and clean all your tools when done.

1/30/2022 11:08pm Some people have very valid reasons that we will never know. A it seems so easy to judge others based on our own circumstances which are all together different. 8 years ago today I had a bone marrow transplant. I was not even allowed to go in public after and then when I was, I had to wear a mask for many many months. When no one else was. I got questioned and laughed at a lot. Because people can't see what someone else is going through in their life. I don't get how people are so quick to judge...

1/30/2022 11:06pm Because this has been bothering me since others may be in a similar boat ... I tried to make light of things yesterday, but the primary reason I wear my mask so much (and forget I am wearing it a lot) is that my Dad is still at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, after a brutal blow from COVID-19. It's been 6 weeks - and this is on top of a 2-week hospital stay in November. He's been in/out of the ICU multiple times, on/off a vent, in/out of comas, had strokes from COVID-19 related heart issues, and he had...
