Right at the base of the Vincent Thomas Bridge! Raced it back in the '70s/80s as well, covered my first race for Cycle News there when I was in high school! It was an Old Timers MX race--interviewed a guy celebrating his 73rd birthday racing, his wife helping him in the pits and at the start, total badass!!!!

This is A PERFECT day! Get to do it a couple times a year now as the old guy, but Aaryn, this is what moto is all about! As for us in TX today, just watched the beautiful rain come down for the second day--it never stopped! Tomorrow looks like a football day or something, no let-up in sight.

Met Zack training alongside Noah McConnahy at the Merge compound a couple years ago, and he struck me as another great kid, was really focused and intense! Didn't he win at Loretta a few years ago? Not sure about comparing the current 250 class speed/intensity vs. 450s, look at Craig. Not spectacular on the 450s (he didn't suck, and was in the top 10, but I don't remember him as a top-5 guy) then he comes off the couch to compete at the front of the 250 class.
