Mr. Holigan, just out of curiosity, what became of Ryan Gorrell that worked on your car team? He and I were friends in our much younger days.

I swear I could watch that argument between DV and Lucky over and over and over.

Have your freaking bolts won a pro race before?!?

I met DV in 06 or 07, he was friendly and he didn't stink. I still have a DV Hot Wheels motorcycle toy in my home office. He's ok in my book.

Both DV and Lucky are good guys, and both are hard headed. DV has a lot of wins in races all around the world. Lucky's equipment has multiple AX championships and got Blose, Woods, Adams and Boniface on the podium in SX. No bad guys in the deal, and both would be happy to talk moto with you.

No Supercross this weekend, but the first seven episodes of Season 2 are now up.

Thanks for uploading these, I've been watching them as soon as they pop up! Brings back some memories for me, I remember rushing to get my homework done, or ditching my buddies so I didn't miss an episode! Lol (No DVR's really used to suck!)

It's weird what TV (and directors) do to personas. Granted Lucky looked like a hard ass tangling with an MX star on the show. But he's actually a really good guy and also one of the best builder/tuners in the country. There are legions of successful pros that owe a great deal of their success to Lucky. Many of you (who remember these ancient internet relics, anyway) may not know that the Motonews site, and erstwhile reporting legend Steve Bruhn aka TFS, were both operated under Lucky's tent. Hutch, too. LCS Racing (Lucky's Cycle Shop. Get it?) has been a prominent fixture in the moto scene around here since the 70s and still is. Lots of championships out of LCS.

And Lucky's doing fine. Except for being t-boned about 6 months ago that totaled his truck and shattered a bunch of bones in his face. He's mended up, now, and doing some riding.

Lucky is a damn good guy. Saw a group of Dad's furiously tearing down a bike between motos at an amateur race many moons ago. Walked up and asked if he could lend a hand. Wouldn't take a penny for his efforts, wished my kid well, and strolled off. Never met him before, and haven't seen him since. That should tell you what kind of guy Lucky is....

Ya know, I hadn't planned on it. But I don't have any other plans. I think I have a coupla buds racing it. And it wouldn't hurt to get out to Eastex. Thinking hard about doing that. Thanks for bringing it up.

People, yes I'm lame. I'm a douchebag. I'm arrogant. I stink. I've heard it all. I don't talk about it because I don't really want to, I don't feel it's necessary to talk about things that happened at the end of 05 and at the beginning of 06 and I'm being professional about the clauses of our termination agreement. That's all. People can think what they want about me but I'm a guy of his words and his beliefs either you like them of not. On a personal note I am proud to have gotten the honorary title of top privateer in the MX national in the summer of 06 on a Yamaha with the help of Keith McCarty, Paul Lindsey at Motoworld, Jeff Surwall at No Fear and top SX privateer in 07 with MDK Honda before becoming factory rider again at Suzuki (yes I know I sucked that year, you don't have to remind me). The Reality of Speed was a great pioneer concept in our industry and it would be awesome to have something like that again for us fans these days. Races on TV are great but the behind the scene a-la-Reality of Speed is the missing piece of the puzzle nowadays. On that note, be well, be kind and enjoy your time on this earth. Life is way more than just MX. Respect the fact I turned the pages of my racing career and I'd rather talk about the present. I love watching SX & MX and debate/talk/analyze it. Whatever happened in the past isn't important and can't be changed. What can be changed is our future. I'm still one of the biggest fans of this sport even if I don't push my kids riding dirt bikes. It's why I'm so passionate in what I write in my columns. Have a good weekend
You don't owe these clowns anything DV. I for one appreciate your commentary as a moto fan and a great rider whether on the PulpMX show, your columns or on this forum.

Lucky has closed LCS after a bad crash when tuning a quad, broke his back for the second time in his life, but he still does a few jobs for select people

Didn't he have a serious truck accident a few years back also? Sorry to hear LCS is closed now, but he had a hell of a run....he's a Texas MX icon and a good dude. DV didn't give him the respect he deserved on the show...IMO.
