I rolled my ankle second quarter of a high school football game. Ankle was purple and I couldn’t put weight on it. Trainer taped it and said he would “lock my heel in” whatever that meant. I played the rest of the game and ran on it like nothing happened. It was said they went back to the normal peg because he needed more flex from his ankle to ride more like he used to. Hurts ankle again. They said they taped it so he basically couldn’t move it. Gave him a shot. Rides much faster. Apply a little common...

TONS of kids go off to college at 18 and find the environment isn't for them just like Mark found out at Club. It is no slight to Clubmx at all, it just wasn't the right fit at the time for Mark. 18 year olds come home from a failed experience at university, get a job, go to community college or whatever. They REGROUP, grow up a little... and then attack life. That is what Mark Finies has done. The kid is living a clean lifestyle on his terms and i think that is awesome.

Dramatically underappreciated early pillar of our sport. A lot of moto fans think the sport started here with the Trans AM in '70, but the reality is bad ass dudes were ripping on dirt bikes as far back as the 50's in SoCal, they just called it scrambles, and desert racing was the most popular format. The actual roots of our sport is District 37 desert/scrambles racing. JN was one of the first guys to treat the sport with professionalism. He looked for advantages in his equipment, one of the first to ride Huskys. He looked for advantages in his...

An amazing legend. His son, Jimmy Roberts is also a legend in stunt world as an amazing rider and performer. He is a mentor and dear friend of mine that got me into the stunt business and was also my sponsor into the Stunts Unlimited group. A great family and all super talented on two wheels. Godspeed, J.N. you will be missed.

I love MXdN, but it's a huge shakedown by Infront or Youthstream or whatever they're going by these days. What a ripoff...talk about Italian mafioso....

Graybeard Added a reply to SMX track map: Jumping over the gate?

Unfortunately, that US Open start line looks like dirt (great pull, Willy!) but this track will require jumping over metal grates as well as the gates. How will those gates and the dirt right beyond them look after a moto? And will they get prepped before the start? Should be interesting!!!!!

Always loved this photo of the late Kenny Zahrt. Also, I know I'm in the minority, but have always had an affinity for the early 80's KX's with the rear fender number plate.

Remember when boxing was a huge sport in the US? The fights were carried free on network tv. Everyone knew or had heard of Muhamid Ali, George Foreman, Joe Frazier, Marvin Hagler, Sugar Ray Leonard, Ceasar Chavez, etc. Then boxing went Pay Per View, and the last well known boxer of the beginning of Pay Per View era is probably Iron Mike Tyson. That's been decades ago. 95% of the population now couldn't name a current boxer in any weight class, much less the title (belt) holders of the classes. Thats what happens when you take a sport for the...

Yah it sure feels like a big step backwards. I saw it get Infront of new eyes , One of my Sisters saw and watched the kids racing. My other sister's kids happened to catch it while i was watching and they were so excited to learn that little kids could race, and that they made kid sized dirt bikes. I was offering to buy a couple RFN electric bikes for them ( I was looking into becoming a dealer for their full line of electrics at the time, I may still do it at some point) . The ones...

Its honestly sad to watch these 70 year old men destroy something right in front of our eyes because they have no foresight into viewership metrics and organic marketing. They are so focused on greasing every fucking penny out of this sport and squeezing every dime in any way they can get it they completely have lost the big picture. When Lorettas was free to watch on youtube, it was probably the MOST accessible mainstream coverage we will get. Its FREE, it would show up on anybody that's adjacently into motorsports feed and potentially pull in new and YOUNG viewers...
