TX, I grabbed a sweet 04 CR250, absolutely love it! That bike is well worth $1700, congrats. Merge did my suspension (they did DV's back in '05 when he raced the CR250), and I just had Terry Varner port and deck the cylinder/head (he makes the best Honda engines that Team Honda couldn't even duplicate), with the mods I think...

Learning to wrench on your own bike is a great skill, and will give you a lot of satisfaction when you do it. A lot of guys rebuild their own engines, so don't be afraid to learn that skill set. You have some good bike shops in the Houston area if you get into trouble, and a lot of guys...

Kenny, you and I were at the same races! Escape Country was EPIC that day!!! For me, it's got to be Friday Night MX at Indian Dunes, with Donnie Hansen and Joe Root on the Kolbe Can-Ams, Johnny O'Mara showing up, Eric Kehoe on a YZ80, Kenny Zahrt and the after race parties.....Not even CLOSE!!!!

Steve, Jeffro, not a noob, far from, it. Been in the "industry" since 1977, and I think Dave has been around close to that long, too. His comments do hit a nerve with me, because I've seen it way too often, and seen the looks on many people's faces after that happens. I have observed the riders routines and the...

Osterman to the fans, "GET OFF MY LAWN, DAMMIT!" He really needs to step back and understand why Discount Tires is on his shirt--for that fan standing in line. He pissed off a fan, and Discount Tires lost a customer. Brilliant. If 30 minutes isn't enough time to take care of your fans, that's your job to fix--they're paying to...

Sweet trip, Mark! I flew in to SD to play golf and hit the SX race with my boys Saturday and rode Pala on Sunday, EPIC weekend! Are you coming back out to Freestone for the final round of the TX Winter Series? If so, I'll see you on the 50+ gate again! BG

Dude is a BEAST! We were screaming all night as he caught and passed the RCH riders, reeled in Shorty and went by, then COULD NOT BELIEVE how he caught eli and bam bam, then went past both of them. His pits were insane after the main!

LMFAO, the Coliseum was sketchy back in 1977 when my mom dropped me and my best friend off at the stadium for my first supercross! And they still brought SX, and the Olympics, back! Dare to dream! Unfortunately, Oly is no longer brewed, so we must forge head with another beverage.....anyone up for the Schaefer Superbowl of Motocross?

I have to agree with CamP--go with an 03-07 Honda CR250R-I personally race the '04 CR250R. You can get them at a GREAT price, they are awsome handling bikes, and if you're not comfortable with just racing at the top end of the powerband, you can send the cylinder and head over to Terry Varner Motorsports and he'll get you...

I took my "kids" to the Lake Elsinore National (my sons are 30 and 25--and we all race) and the most important rider they wanted to meet in the pits was Westom Peick. So we went to his motorhome after practice, and he took the time to talk to them about the track, how the dirt was, signed their hats...

Love this thread! Racing the 50+ class in D-41 has been blessing, it got my ass back in the gym, gave me a reason to work out hard again, and keeps me insane (sanity is for the weak). I just don't remember the tracks being so fast and the jumps so big, but what the heck, I'm still "back in...
I was at the photo shoot of the first pic on this thread (may even be my photo, can't remember)--Indian Dunes, International Track, second turn, he threw the big Maico around like it was a bicycle! He was the funniest dude I ever had the chance to ride/test with, and was absolutely crazy on a bike. There was nothing he...
