I believe the text that went with this when it was originally printed was something like, "Magoo blurs the camera and fogs the senses with one of his patented crashes!" I might be wrong, but for some reason I remember that line going with this picture. It makes me think of Jesus giving himself to the cross.

This picture is absolutely FKIN incredible!! I had the privilege of racing on this track (Gaildorf) in 1974. An awesome natural terrain track.

I can remember when i saw Magoo one time at Helvetia mx park in West Sacramento, CA. ripping around the track with a glove in his mouth as he was riding one handed while the other one was on the cylinder (checking the temp i guess) while he was jumping. so many good memories!!

What is it about short red headed MXers? I had the priviledge of watching Magoo at Unadilla, Binghampton and Red Bud back in that era. Watching him ride the big Hondas was something I'll never forget. These pictures all give me goose bumps Smile

I was at the photo shoot of the first pic on this thread (may even be my photo, can't remember)--Indian Dunes, International Track, second turn, he threw the big Maico around like it was a bicycle! He was the funniest dude I ever had the chance to ride/test with, and was absolutely crazy on a bike. There was nothing he wouldn't try! He was actually trying to get inverted--talk about WAY ahead of his time!!!!!!!!!
