Been looking for a last gen CR for a few months and spotted this one. Talked to the guy quite a bit and said he'd take $1700. Just wanted too see what you guys thought.

I just picked up a clean 1 owner '02 a few months ago, and my buddy picked up a decent '03 around the same time, we each paid $1900 and both have been really good bikes for both of us, him being a beginner and me being intermediate.

I would say $1700 would be a good deal for that bike.

You won't find a better deal on a 2003. Those bikes are bullet proof.

That bike has a lot of good stuff on it. One lucky Vital member got this low hour 02 gem for the low low price of $2400.00.Wink

I usually prefer a more stock look, but it's hard to pass up for the price. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on this one

For some reason I was expecting to see pictures of a clapped out bike, but that thing looks to be well taken care of!

My 2002 I bought off CL that is really clean! Turned out great with the retro theme graphics from Decal Works.

Ive seen that bike on here, and I really like the simplicity of it. I have searched and cannot find those graphics anywhere. Ever since I was a kid riding 85's back in 2003, I have wanted a 250r with those graphics, now I have the bike but cannot get the graphics!

Throttle jockey made those graphics. They should be able to make you a set.

I have an 03 CR250. It's a good bike. Mine was all stock when I got it and I had to do some jetting work. Stock suspension feels dated compared to whats out now, but that can be revalved.

Overall, it's cheap fun.

Throttle jockey did produce those graphics originally but will not print them up for you now, they even have the file for the graphics but won't do it.

He's asking 2k. I offered 16 and settled for 17. Hopefully picking it up tomorrow after work

Forks on the '02 are unique for that year only. I loved mine, especially after the numberplate/front fender update and Keihin carb swap. Won lots of races against 450s that season!

I beat quite a few 450's on my 03cr back in the day. Wished I never sold that rig. I've been out of riding for 4-5 years but me and a buddy are looking to pick up a couple 2 smokers. Look forward to getting back out there and hanging with the track folk

TX, I grabbed a sweet 04 CR250, absolutely love it! That bike is well worth $1700, congrats. Merge did my suspension (they did DV's back in '05 when he raced the CR250), and I just had Terry Varner port and deck the cylinder/head (he makes the best Honda engines that Team Honda couldn't even duplicate), with the mods I think its the best bike ever made!

i had an 02' with fmf and factory connection suspension. i wish i still had it,even though i love my yzf. it was the best handling bike and it would be fun to switch when the mood strikes. congrats on the 2 smoke.

Not much to think about IMO, you should see the trash up north people want 1700 bucks for.
