Yep , me , Justin , Bronwyn and Dwayne were hanging with John a bit at Washougal. His mechanic is a good kid trying to make a name for himself in the biz. Travels around with Dwayne and checking out the whole country while fine tuning your trade , pretty cool! John had some good motos going up there in the mud. Wish him the best.

Did John Short race in Texas for a bit? I believe there was a kid a few years back that was racing mostly MX but also raced some cross country. He came out and was giving guys like Josh Demuth a run for his money. And he was REALLY young at the time from what I remember. He only showed up for a couple of races but damn he was fast. If this is the same John Short.

Just looked it up. It wasn't Demuth he was racing. It was a few other local pro's. He beat the local pro class by :20 a lap. His lap times were 9:50. And it was in 2012.

John was one of the fastest mini racers in Texas and he's been training with my friend Beau Boynton, for a long time. It's good to see him scoring some points at the nationals this year.

Yeah we watched him on several occasions at Swan. Top notch guy on and off the track.

Love to watch this kid ride, he is stupid fast! I will never forget his riding at Underground last year, launching into a series of whoops that had me scratching my head in amazement! Another great moment--Short was winning the A class at Buffalo Creek D-41 finals a couple years ago with Blake Wharton and the Rogue Locusts playing at the finish line and cheering him on! Wish him all the best, and thanks for the stories KP!

I remember him racing the 65 and 85 classes in TORO and TCCRA regularly, maybe before he switched to moto? He has always been fast!

John is a awesome person and racer. At Wahougal the Cycle Trader (Rock River) semi had hauled his bike to the track. But John was not able to pit under their tent. So we set up my 10X10 EZ-up next to the motorhome and gave John all the help we could. Jake Parker filled in as John's mechanic for the day.

John hooked me up with this at Red Bud after he wore it in the second moto.

Dwayne brother....it was awesome hanging with you in the pits up at Washougal! I hope you have a safe drive and trip over to Unadilla and I WILL see you at GH for the GP on Sept 20th!

John has also worked as a trainer in a couple of the FCA Camps last year in Texas. Had the opportunity to work with his at the 3 Palms camp. Very solid kid, very focused and humble at the same time.

Haha , no worries man. If I wouldn't of been standing right beside him in the pits , I wouldn't of even known. Some of these guys switch bikes like I switch underwear! Ya just never know!
