Carmichael – Windham – Stanton on DMXS Radio Tonight!
The season-ending Bud Light Ironman National will host the inaugural Legends Race this weekend in Utah - otherwise known as the best idea EVER! These “Legends” have certainly earned their place in our sport’s history and the fans are eager to see them on the starting gate again. We’re fortunate that a few have taken some time away from their elite training schedules to join us tonight!
Soaring Eagle/Jimmy John’s RCH Suzuki’s Ricky Carmichael is the winningest rider in our sport’s history, and you don’t achieve that by losing very often. I expect the competitive juices will be flowing as these riders are instantly transported back in time when the gate drops. We’ll get the GOAT’s thoughts on the race and bench race about RCH’s year and beyond.
Kevin Windham is one of the most beloved riders our sport has ever seen. His popularity with the fans resonated throughout his career and they can’t wait until he takes off his cowboy boots and puts on some motocross boots for this weekend. Let the pancake-flat whips and heel-clickers commence from the retired part-time farmer.
Jeff Stanton never really retired. Rumor has it he trains like Rocky did in Siberia preparing for Drago pretty much year round. There was some spy footage of him doing upside-down sit-ups from his hayloft and carrying a telephone pole up a snowy summit, but it has “disappeared” after the legends' race was announced. Another rumor was flying around that he wanted it to be one moto and then one round inside the octagon last-man-standing style, but couldn’t get is past the lawyers. Either way Mr. Stanton will be ready to go this weekend.
Make sure to catch all the action on MAVTV, NBCSN and www.promotocross.com this Saturday!

Fair enough I thought. It would be a bit unfair to put Ricky on the spot when it's only recently come to light.
Pit Row
But thats always the problem , anyone who has ever worked at a team will know what happens, and what they say happens , are never the same, and the press will just print puff peices and PR shit to keep everyone happy.
Germany has a killer media, for stuff like this , they dont care who they upset, just get it in print and sell copy, and be done.
The UK media is a bit chinless, we got biffed off the forum there for daring to criticise Luongo, because the guy running it didnt want his credential pulling from the GP's and sponsors being unhappy.
Its all about the money, at any level.
DMXS invited Carmichael onto the show to talk about the Legends race, we don't know if RC was even aware of the article until they discussed it off air so why should they put him on the spot and grill him about the things that were said if he hasn't had the time to digest it all? Badgering him about it would just make the DMXS guys look unprofessional and RC would probably just hang up on them.
They're not journalists, they just host a lighthearted, fun and often informative chat show. Matthes might dig a little deeper and be willing to stick his neck out a bit more, but he's good friends with Watson and I doubt he is willing to sacrifice that relationship to satisfy the demands of the fans.
Kennys dad didnt do anything except secure his spot outside every team.
You dont dive bomb RC if He says he will not discuss it
If RC would not discuss it, they should have not had him on.
You have to either believe that Kenny's dad is an outright loony and/or liar or believe that something is going on with that team.
