Hmmm...that's only a couple hours from Jax - and that's if I drive slow. Are you planning on building a track, or will it be trails only? I might be interested depending on how moto friendly the place is.

"Luxury resort" and off road riding/racing probably wont gel. Offering tracks and lots of trails with comfortable accomodations will be far more appealing to dirt bike families and off road riders.

Hopefully this is allowed here. If not please steer me to the right place!

I'm the marketing director behind a brand new luxury adventure travel club that is being built down here in Florida. All Class Clubs and Resorts will be set on 118 acres and will offer extensive riding trails for all Powersports along with luxury amenities - designer condos, five star restaurants, a spa, 5 acre pool complex, equestrian facilities, wakeboarding, concerts, outdoor movies and more. Its truly going to be a place where the whole family can find something to do and enjoy themselves. We're currently in preconstruction and we invite you to take a look at our website, enter to win an ATV if you'd like and contact us if you're interested in learning more.

You can also follow us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

Do you know why Durhamtown is so successful? Because of convenience to the riders. Not because of extra entertainment, that stuff is just a bonus. You need to first and foremost have a great safe place to ride. You need RV hookups and cabins to rent. You need bikes and ATVS to rent. You don't need a pool or a five star restaurant, but a place to get gas and parts that may have failed is a necessity. You need mechanics onsite as well as medical staff.

Once you have all of the things that make a place like this great to a weekend warrior, then you build upon it. I for one can say that I'd much rather be able to come into a dining room; still dirty and sweaty from riding, than to have to not only clean up, but dress up to go to a five star restaurant.

Why I'm trying to say is think big, but think appropriately. You can have nice things for the family like a pool area, but keep in mind that dirty muddy people are gonna want to jump straight in and cool off after riding. There's going to be a lot of upkeep.

Lastly, horses and dirtbikes do not mix imo. At all.

I think you all have a terrific idea and I'm all for more options to ride down here, but the sport is expensive enough as it is. I can't pay for a five star resort price when I really just wanna go braaaap. How are you going to keep day riders out of areas that they didn't pay for? Arm bands? It's a logistical nightmare.

Sorry, but started to watch the video with the guy sitting on the quad, sounding and looking like a brain dead, burned out druggie, shut it off in 45 seconds and will never look at the resort again. You're seriously not marketing to a bunch of frat boy potheads that can't remember their own age, are you?

Motor bikes and horses can and do respond well to each other . My neighbors horses used to come to the fence line all the time when people were here riding. It was like they knew the riders would pet them And give em a treat.

Thank you all for the valuable feedback. (It was very similar to what many of us behind the scenes were thinking as well!) I truly appreciate hearing from all of you. I've summarized it for the owner and passed it on to him so he can try to adjust his vision to what all of you actually need and want. Once again - thank you for all your help and honest advice!
