He layed it over in a 10 mph corner on the left side and pulled out with a right wrist injury

They said he jammed it in practice, the crash just aggravated it.

He probably realized he didn't have the speed tonight to win and he doesn't want to give the competition any confidence going into supercross. Not a bad decision

The worst thing you can do in this race is get injured. I think it was a smart move to pull out. If it's sore and got jammed there's zero reason to chance it. I hope it's not the bad wrist that gave him fits a while back.

In practice he was pretty much right there with the top guys. Just needs to be healthy and work his way into Anaheim. And even then it will prob take him a few races to get to the pace where it needs to be.

Also, hope Deano is okay.

Shows that he still possesses the superior racecraft by pulling out. He's back!

Sure seems to have burned a whole lot of that good will and excitement he had built up with the fans. Lotsa of folks came out / tuned in to see him, and to pull out like that after a little slide out looks really bad. He was obviously far back in the pack when he did his butt slide, but to come up with an injury line? Seriously doubt it.

Is this the same wrist that required 2 surgeries to fix? Seem to recall JS saying a doctor had butchered the first job?
10/18/2015 8:11am
he injured the wrist in practice, haters will hate regardless. same guys would be bitching if he won, yea it was disappointing he didn't race but who are we to judge

Aahwell....Anaheim 1 will eventually arrive and there will be a champion....thats about all we can stamp at the moment....the rest is pure speculation and bench racing.

Two years ago he wasn't even mentioned in the first moto then came back to be the most talked about rider until A1. I doubt he pulled out due to being back in the pack on lap 1..

He left early to go home testing KYB forks as everyone else found them better... must be reason or he did get dirt on his new 7 gear and didnt want to come out second race looking dirty.
Great to see him back racing.

There are too many people busting his stones about pulling out of the race after the first moto. Lets face it: His job is to go into A1 healthy and ready to race. And...if he isn't quite up to speed now; he'll get there between now and January.
