-MAVERICK- Liked a forum topic Interview with Dylan Ferrandis

I translated it from a French interview he did with Moto Verte. It's a bit long, but it's worth the read. After seven US seasons with Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing and four titles, Dylan Ferrandis is about to take on a new challenge. At the age of 29, the Frenchman joins the Phoenix Honda team, with strong backing from Factory Connection, which is taking advantage of the opportunity to sign his comeback in the US SX "game". DF14 looks back on his last two difficult years and looks forward to a bright future with the Reds. The good news...

MAC N DEEGS... is this a play on Mac-n-Cheese, or is this some siick language I don't even understand? I have to say, Deegan is the last person I'd expect to see Tomac hanging out with. I have to imagine there are Monster and Star incentives at play here.

I'm in the same boat - i'm tall so my kid get's the same problems. He's 10 yrs and 5'6" already. I'm scared to see how more he grows come spring (in Canada - so no riding) i don't want to put him on 125 yet. The Austrian trio are bigger seat to pegs. U could get away with BW...

I'll comment FWIW - i have a 23 450 yz and for shits and giggles (I'm getting older) just bought YZ250f for the days i don't feel like getting my arms stretched..... 2nd gear is strong AF but it's short for sure, 2nd rips but u need to be ready for 3rd real quick. Having said this - i'm a...

My local dealer, Grapevine Powersports finally got one in and called yesterday saying it was ready for pickup. When I asked what the OTD price was they said $14,100.00. They said it's the only one they are getting until late January so no deal to be had. Looks like I'll be keeping my 22' for a few more months.

I chased the traditional methods searching for more stability. Lowe rear and high in the front....Couldn't find it lol. Local suspension guy did my suspension a few weeks back and stated "this bike needs more weight on the front" he ended up lengthening the shock and asked me to run 5-7mm fork height and 103 sag (or less if i...

I did. It was awesome in every way except for the most important thing for me, a little twitchy. I ride off road, I know its not an off road bike haha, so speeds can be a little on the fast side. Just never could get the stability I wanted. Tried clamps, stabilizer, ect. Just always had a bit of hunt and peck up front and that's no bueno. Was waiting for the 24 yzfx but its still MIA. So, KTM xcf it is and couldn't be happier!

Takes about 10hrs most found......u should be ok on rear, front is soft and rides a bit low in stroke making it feel harsh. Just for shits and giggles - add some damping in front and see if it helps stay up a bit. Also......yeh 10hrs :-)

Don't over think it - every Pro except for Tomac detunes their 450. You'll love riding 250f. YZ250f out of the box / stock is great for anyone 200 lbs. You're a bad man, your weight loss program is beyond impressive. Do u have opportunity to try one ?
Tomac. People need to fear the quiet ones. Honestly, we have a huge talent pool in the 450"s before some retirements....I just want to enjoy the sx show this year. Stat healthy everyone!

Question Liked a reply to forum topic Pros that are still wearing neck braces?

11/20/2023 8:59am
I have never seen something about knee braces. I believe in their efficiency, but no data. In all cases, probably the best safety is: - to stand up much more like Jett, - to be fit to be well under the red zone and arm pump (or to do within the zone, not more), - to have a bike dialed and maintained (with good jetting and with gas...), be careful with friend's bikes as some are turd, - to think the first lap of any session or race (I saw and quite had a few big ones on first lap...

Went on a really intense 1,000 calorie a day diet mixed with light stationary bike cardio for the first year and the weight really flew off. Since then I’ve started lifting weights and doing more intense cardio 6 days a week. No short cuts, weight loss surgeries or diet pills. Just hard work in the gym and the right diet. Hoping to get under 200 someday.

Yeh - taller seat, lowered pegs (bars are personal to everyone, i used to use taller bars but bikes handle better with stock height or close to it)

Do not buy a 450......modern 250'f and especially the YZ250f can lug u around no problem. I'm 6'7" 240 and have both.
