In my 50+ years of following this sport, I have never seen anything close to Deegan's asshattery at tonight's race. He needs to be banned from racing - permanently. What a miserable human being.

I’ve been a fan of his racing while mostly ignoring the ‘noise’ that he creates, but tonight he proved that he simply has no character at all. To be honest, his attempts were so blatant that I wish the AMA would suspend him for the first 3 races next season.

Or Shane McElrath could have with his newfound mud skills. Lightning aside, that would have been a shitshow of a dog paddle race to watch. Entertaining? Probably, but it could just as easily made it super boring if Jett won and Sexton's bike sucked water and Eli fried a clutch.

Gotta try them all on, they fit so differently and everyones head/face shape is so different. I personally like my Troy Lee SE5 the most, with my Bell moto 10 spherical almost a tie just not quite as comfortable. My girlfriend doesn't like her Bell and says its uncomfortable on the top of her head, but loves her alpinestars SM-5

The closest comparison that I think you can make to Gifting's ride would be Jason McCormick's 1999 moto win on a 125 at Washougal. Like Gifting, McCormick was not on a premiere team and is truly a local (he runs a suspension shop at Washougal MX these days). 125cc moto 2 starts at 52:00 in this video...

He isnt on the same level as US top guys. Not mentally or physically. Plus a man with that many excuses isnt going anywhere but back home to complain. Just over this dude. No fight or "heart" in there. I cant imagine being a mechanic waking up everyday at 5 AM to wrench on Prados shit and then he mails it in all summer and then blames you. haha.

No doubt Sexton will bitch anout the scooter next year, he is not one to mince words. Yet he has no problem with self blame either, or putting his head down and working through problems. Expect results comparable to previous seasons from him, you won't see him being passed by privateers like George.

Man, that’s a bummer he’s being cut short due to injuries. This sport is brutal. He seems like a sharp kid with a good head on his shoulders, hopefully he can leverage his relationships to find a career that is satisfying for him.
