Like rt said, drag the front. The harder you pull the brake lever, the more your bike will lay over in the rut.

I run x30, they last a long time, and they are super consistent/predictable. The mx52 rear is good. The mx51 is complete shit, I used to run 403/404 and x30 is very similar. X30 maybe has a little bit better traction, and last longer.

The heavy duty springs are great, you get a better feel of the engagement point. I'd stick with the stock steels/fibers from honda though. But honestly I haven't tried the tusk plates, just their springs. I think you can get just the springs for like $5 new.

Got a '14 yzf250, I think it feels too wide up front too. I heard the cycra plastic has one piece radiator shrouds that make it 2" narrower! The Utah desert seems like a good fit for ISDE. Their Governor was running for the republican presidential nomination this year, and I remember seeing him riding a CRFX in one of his campaign commercials. He could probably make it happen.
