I do care about what voice I hear during the broadcast, and it really bothers me that the best talent isn't in the booth. I hope DB continues to use that as fuel to his fire to carve his own path. There's not many people in the industry that have experience as broad as Daniel. Privateer racer in MX/SX and money races around the country, Factory fill-in for Geico, AX Regional champ, brand rep, business owner, podcaster, every role in the broadcast, amateur team manager, partner in a training facility...the dude has done just about everything there is to do...

The real loser in Daniel Blair's departure is the public.(You and I) His contributions made SX a significantly better product, and his absence is a net loss. The overwhelming majority agrees with this. The reason behind his departure is particularly frustrating: it's not due to financial constraints, legal issues, or personal misconduct. Instead, it boils down to one person's fragile ego – that someone is not even a irreplaceable "must have" talent either.

Because some of us expect more from a "professional sport" broadcast. You don't see this amateur garbage in other sports. It's a complete shit show... the split screen, missing actual racing action, missing passes, showing clips of last weeks/race or other footage during the race, babbling trackside reporters adding nothing during the race...the list is long. I don't watch live anymore. I FF through all the crap to the gate drops. I mostly skip over the podium interviews because it's usually a 10 words of the race and 500 words about sponsors. ...oh, and it gets muted when anyone says...

Dare I say I miss Lawrences and Tomac and couldn't care less about Will Blair and Daniel Christien?

This all started because Lee Diffy got butt hurt because DB complimented Todd Harris, someone that he admired. It shows how truly shallow Diffy is, and after all these years how miserably brutal he is as a person. I see RC as a student of Lee, and Lee taught him well. Fuck you Lee Diffy! Moto fans never needed you.

Just listened to Blair's side and wow. That being said, after watching the FOX broadcast of Indycar with Will Buxton instead of Leigh, all I can say is wow, what a relief. Watching the SMX broadcast is rough, because they are catering far too much to the people who don't know anything about the sport and I just downright don't enjoy it. It was enjoyable when Blair was on because to me, he was the perfect in between, gave tons of insight into the sport but made it to where it was easy for everyone to understand, but pleased those...

Yea man, he uprooted his entire life because he was sold a dream and they pulled the rug. He's a regular guy just trying to hussle which most of us can relate to. Life's not fair... we get it.

I understand the sentiment of not caring to some degree, but our sport is very small. If in the NFL, some all-time hall of famer were an announcer doing a terrible job and bullying other people out of the booth with him, you’d hear about it. It matters because this sport matters to a lot of us and the way it’s represented on national television matters to us. Having DB in the booth doing an excellent job represents our sport well. Having a guy who is illiterate/can’t string together a grammatically correct sentence in there makes our sport look bad...

At this point, who fucking cares ?? These days I just look up, and pay attention when the gate drops. And tune out again after the podium interviews. And even then, over half the stuff they focus on has little to do with on track action. Just watched the MXGP's. Guess it's too much to ask for a simple broadcast style like Malin produces.

Frankly, it's just not very interesting. The handful off occurrences Blair refers to in his video pale in comparison to the cut throat interactions and flat out acts of sabotage I have witnessed between coworkers in my career. The "breaking news" you want is nothing more than common workplace gossip. Were you this demanding of coverage when Ping or Cooksey left Vital? Probably more juice to that story but again that is not a news story.

Daniel said after Gypsy that's all he wanted to say, it was "over" in his mind and that was it. There wasn't a want to follow up on his end. Can't force people to talk. And to Daniel's admission, he still didn't tell his truth on Gypsy anyways. I'm not going to do a story with someone who I know is going to hide details going into it. Not that everyone is truthful when you interview them, but at least you try to go into it with an understanding that they will try. I can repost his video on our...

Just got off the phone with Daniel a little bit ago and this exact topic came up. Even he said it's not on any of us in media. Myself, Steve, Weege, etc have all talked to him about it as friends and he hasn't wanted any of it aired until now. He said himself he chose to go on Gypsy to talk in long-form about it and chose today to say his truth on his platform. He was more thankful that none of us that he spoke to as friends ousted his position on all this. As I stated in...

Coming from a guy that has three Husqvarnas and a KTM in his garage I'm going to have a hard time buying another PMG product anytime soon. I'm getting tired of these rich people\companies getting treated differently than everyone else, if I told my mortgage company I'm only going to pay 30% of my mortgage but I'm going to keep my house and they just have to be happy with it I'd be laughed at and dragged in to court immediately. Until we vote with our wallets against companies that pull these shinnagans nothing is going to change about all...

Man I don't know, doing burnouts in front of the shuttered factory and proclaiming "stronger than ever" the day after a court approves your stiffing 2500 creditors out of 70% of their money is a bad look. They don't need to act like a whipped puppy, but I think I'd act a little more subdued and humbled.
