Growing up in the 70's, small town east Texas, feral is the correct word. We had a neighborhood store, the white store because it was white, that was our meet up place. We would get there any way we could, bicycles, skateboards, minibikes, go carts, walk, free ride from a neighbor. We would collect soda bottles, mow yards, wash cars, relocate/kill venomous snakes, whatever an adult would pay us for to get some change so we could get a Coke, Snickers, gas, and play one of the two arcade games there...Joust and Space Invaders.
