Just put my deposit on the new Freeride. Not many coming to the us, had to go to a dealer in another state.
Will be my first electric dirtbike. Fully street legal, I can’t wait to do some exploring on this thing. Gets about 3hrs run time on a charge.
10,800 $ out the door.

What was the process like? Any sort of timeline for shipment and delivery? My dad is leaning toward one, but we're both curious about the steps after making a deposite.

They said they would call when the bike came in. The dealer is 2 hours away. They will send me the financing form, and I’ll decide how much I want to put down to make a payment around 150 a month.
Ktm isn’t sending many to the US. they definately aren’t marketing or pushing it hard. I think there is a market for it, people are spending big bucks on Chinese junk, and dumping money into them to make them hold up.

Mine is supposedly is going to have blinkers and mirrors/ 50 state street legal. I’ll update this with pics and ride reports soon as I pick this thing up. (Sometime in August) This will be my first electric bike. I get it the Ktm isn’t a full size gas dirt bike equivalent but I thought there would be a little more excitement!

People who haven’t owned an e-dirt bike, or simply e-anything, don’t know how cool it is. Plus a KTM is gonna have dealer support, unlike the Stark, or Chinese brands.

What did the dealership tell you about out-the-door registration? Or any sort of EV road use tax in Connecticut (where I assume you live based off your profile) as you won't be buying gasoline for this thing? Anybody read any real-world examples of range? I got to quick throw a leg over one at  dealership earlier this week -- feels good. Tall, but not Stark tall.

I bought it in New York so not sure on registration yet. Unfortunately I am sick right now and have zero energy so I have a brand new toy I can’t ride yet.

Feeling better. Took freeride for a few miles out around local trails. It’s a really nice bike. Battery usage doesn’t seem to be going down fast but not sure on its accuracy or what not. Has a really bright headlight which is good for night rides. It’s a very different riding style. I like both brakes on bars. I’ve been riding it in mode 2 but I haven’t fully geared up and taken it in higher speed trails. Mode 2 has plenty of power. I am 135lb A level woods rider. I’m sure someone heavier would want the additional low end of mode 3. I don’t think it’ll replace my gas woods bike but I’m definately exploring everything on this bike.
