I think it's because all the vents are molded in to the shell and typically the paint jobs don't have any black borders between colors. Those are aesthetic choices by the designer to make the expensive helmet look "clean" and different, but those unintentionally mirror the choices found on very cheap helmets to save cost. I think it's almost impossible to aesthetically beat this: Because my brain likes all the "stuff" happening. I also like bold borders between colors like most TLD stuff. Fox is very opposite of that and it just doesn't work for some of us.

Until your a mechanic or a rider that has been there and know what it is really like then you are doing the same thing. Arm chair quaterbacking. The production sucks, if you think it is ok then cool. But when you see the stupidity behind it all and actually understand the sport and have been around, you do not accept this piece of garbage they package.
