8/16/2026 5:42am 1975, 11 years old, seymour missouri Believe it ot not, a Church picnic. There was a guy and his wife that both raced and they brought there bikes out for everybody to ride. Hers was one of the mx125s. Shorter than modern 85cc. They put an oversized helmet on me. I understood the workings of a clutch and shifter. I had been driving dads old chevy with 3 on the tree for several years. I had even had to drive him home from a roller skating rink we went to where he fell and broke his arm. Anyway, the guy...

8/16/2026 5:41am It was definitely Bob Myers, a great guy. He taught me how to ride my XR, and used to ride an ATC90 around the lot on two wheels when he was bored.

8/14/2026 3:39am Summer of ‘91 I was 9 years old and staying with my great grandmother for a few weeks at her house (trailer park) on Cedar Creek Lake. They had a little “park” near the boat ramp that I rode my bicycle around a lot. Som kids there were riding a newish RM80 and I was eyeing it up but didn’t know them. My experience with riding was limited to a 1979 Yamaha Champ scooter (no clutch, think really old Honda Ruckus). The kid who owned the RM80 asked if I wanted to ride it which I responded with an immediate...

8/14/2026 3:37am I used to work at Freestate when they moved to Capitol Heights, worked there for about 6 years actually! That story sounds like a Bob Myers story for sure! We used to race XR 50s and Go Peds through the shop when we would close, it was hilarious!

8/14/2026 3:31am I’ve had this feeling lately that for local races we should all go to the Loretta’s model. Just age and no skill divisions. An a/b/c split for adults in increments of 5 years is so much. We’re adults. We can handle getting 12th against people our age. Also would make local purse money bigger

8/14/2026 3:30am Congrats! Beautiful bike! Price means nothing, you can't put a price on what makes you happy. I honestly can't remember what I paid for the last 10 450's that I've bought over the years. If you got what you wanted, that's all that matters. Enjoy it 👍

8/14/2026 3:29am I suck at negotiating, so I paid sticker price. $13,995. They had a deal going on though no dealer fees and got a few other things thrown in. I really wanted the factory version, so I didn’t really care.

8/9/2026 5:04am I parked in 5. Seeing the muddy (then dusty) quagmire and tight quarters everywhere else, i was completely content being 1.5 miles away. A creek side spot would be cool tho. The road didn't even take the tits off my new tires on the rides to and from the track. Did go through two tanks of gas on the ranger tho. Our camp was nice and open and we were able to pit with friends. Reminded me of camping at red bud for vet fest. It seems expensive, but its only a couple hundred a day. Compare it to a...

8/9/2026 5:03am It’s not crazy. Fees are like $1700 for two classes with pit pass and stuff. Not bad for being there 12 days. My kids love going every year The cost that’s expensive is all the racing/training to be on the level to compete there. My kid did make $500 from flo racing this year atleast lol

Left home (Ohio) on Friday with plans on checking into a motel in Nashville at 6 and taking my daughter in to town to see it and hit Laineys restaurant. 8/2/2026 6:49pm I know they have one in concord nc for smx but without atl, panthers stadium in Charlotte would be great. Its right in the middle of a huge area with no pro level mx or sx racing and dont have to deal with the dumb ass concrete barriers at the drag strip.

7/31/2026 8:13am Used bikes are not selling….I have had 2 historically good selling used bikes for sale for months…300SX & 350SFX, nothing but clowns, dreamers and low ballers…forget about the trade offers….I don’t need to sell a bike to buy my new bikes but my garage is bursting at the seams😂…the market is flooded with used and new bikes…buyers market right now…. I also have a large quantity of low hr late 80”s-90”s bikes I want to sell but not in this environment….

7/31/2026 8:12am Once a bike gets a couple years old the frames are genuinely dangerous and should be replaced with a new bike. At least that is what wives across the nation are told.

7/31/2026 8:11am The guys who send their suspension out for a revalve before touching a clicker are going to tell you they can feel a worn out frame. They can also feel different motor mount flex while running mid pack +40-C.

7/30/2026 12:30pm I went all in on an overpriced Marketplace find today. It's a '90 KX125, the first generation with perimeter frame and conventional (41mm) forks. Seller had it labeled as a 2001 but it was clear what year it really was from the pics. He said it has been sitting for a long while. It started right up and shifted through all the gears without a hitch. It runs extremely rich, which could be old fuel, carb tuning or crank seals.. or more likely a combination of the three. The first thing I do when I get a bike is crawl...
