The amazing part of all of this, aside from how poorly this was handled every step of the way, is the way the way Yamaha and Star are handling damage control. How hard would this be: "I want to start off by saying how sorry I am to Brennan Schofield, his Father, Loretta Lynn, and the entire Motocross community for...

I was all about sending Eli on a 250 a couple weeks ago, but that's only because we had 2 other 450 guys that were killing it. Anderson hasn't been himself lately, so that throws a wrench in everything. I wish this year they could wait until the end of the season to decide on the team because at this...

The reason it's hard to compare riders from different eras is because the field gets more and more polished. These guys have been riding at training facilities their entire lives. They have been riding sx tracks their entire lives. They have been scrubbing their entire lives. They all have trainers and the training has advanced. The field is deeper now...

Man this sucks. He's really fun to watch when he's on, and I was looking forward to him racing the tracks he has some experience with. Is there bad blood between Star and Masterpool? I'd like to see him race that bike again.

I don't think it's fair to compare riders/players across different eras, but it's still fun to imagine them racing each other. I believe Ricky rode recently enough that would be able to adapt to whatever progressions the sport has made since he retired. I also think he doesn't get enough credit for his style and balance on the bike. Ok...
Yeah I'm sure he wouldn't, it was wishful thinking. But again my actual wish is for Herlings and Tomac to go head to head on 450s obviously. I just think if Herlings is out, Eli would have nothing to prove. As a fan I wouldn't normally want our best guy in the slowest class, but it would be sick to...

Did any 250 jump the leap in the races? On lap 12 Kitchen swung wide and got an awesome run at it, but the jump was just off camera. I thought maybe he jumped it because he passed Masterpool.
My vote is dependent on whether Herlings is racing or not. If Herlings is there I want Eli and Chase on 450s to race him, with Bam Bam or Craig on a 250. If Herlings is out, Eli would have nothing to prove. I'd love to see him on a Star 250, with Chase and Anderson on 450s.

chadder44 Started a new thread Looking for funny 2007 Loretta video

Does anyone have a link to a 2007 Loretta Lynn's video where after the credits Canard, Izzy, Stroup, and Hahn plan to do a goon air on the first lap of their last moto together? The only info I could find was that it was GK Films and it was Show #5. I found an old link that no longer...

Holy crap, it's like it's the Spring of 1974 all over again and Honda just released the CR125 Elsinore. Most guys are delirious with joy, but a sad few are whining and bitching about how much they're going to miss wrenching on the Sachs transmissions of their suddenly obsolete Pentons. Johnny Ringo, your capacity for narrow-mindedness and reflexive hostility is legendary around here - this, we know - but whether you're willing to acknowledge it or not, we all woke up to the future this morning. Well then, is it perfect? No, it is not. Is it everything we could...

That's funny. Actually no, neither my parents, my siblings, my teachers, nor my friends, thought I had a snowball's chance in hell in accomplishing the things in life I now have. And if I'm honest, I have to admit they were right NOT to believe in the direction I chose. Love has a way of making people overvalue practicality, and my entire life has been a series of a reckless leaps and longshooter's longshots. Electric bikes, however, are not as I once was. They are a CHIP shot. They are a lay-up. They are a virtual inevitability. The only question...

Jett passes the eye test with flying colors and I think that's why he has so much hype. He rides perfect, is in shape, and has consistent race winning speed. Very rare combo. I don't care what place he was in this weekend in Millville, man he was so much fun to watch.

I for one missed GL when he was gone. Though I like the idea of having specialized co interviewers that can relate to the guest, I think most riders can relate to GL. He makes the show a lot funnier and when he pipes in with his own stories, I think it makes the guests open up and feel more...
Dean seems like a good dude and I don't think for one second that he held anyone up on purpose. That being said, as a fan, I hate when lappers affect the race. I also hate the flagging system. Too much room for human error. I understand the argument against helmet radios for rider safety, even though I haven't made...

chadder44 Started a new thread Do we really want parity?

I've been thinking about this for a while, but the new racerx article about unbreakable records made me revisit this. I'm really not convinced I'm right, I just wanted to throw this out there for discussion. It seems like the common belief is that fans want lots of guys that can win and close racing. But is that really what...
