Boy, that was a hard one to swallow. It was tough to watch after all the work our boys put into this single race. But this isn't another post to echo what could've been if only things had been a bit different. It's also not to repeat how much damn respect I have for this team, though you can't overstate how much recognition the deserve. It dawned on me today that the one of the main reasons why this race has become less important over the years isn't because of the calendar, or because of supercross, or because of the...
Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Of course I would have liked to speak more at times but I was also trying to be respectful of the other two. Paul has several things he needs to work in and out of with timing, sponsors, etc, and Fro has done several of these MXoN races so I tried to stay deferential. One thing's for sure, though, I had a great time and would be willing to do more races any time I am asked.
Here's the track we did at our house in TN. Wraps around the house and jumps the driveway in 3 spots. Part of our incentive package to get our kid to move from Arizona. I'm not the best photographer, but you get the idea. One triple some rollers and a few other obstacles.
A few progress pics from the first day of the tear down process The workstation: The crack I found in my back rim... These are OEM wheels that I had anodized back in the day. Haven't been able to find Blue rims aftermarket for the hondas... so may have to change it up. Before and after of my pro-circuit pipe cleaning. Still has some dents in it, so I may try the old freezer trick to get those smoothed out. Overall happy with the finish though:
***Update: COMPLETED PICS AND VID LOCATED ON PAGE 2 (posted 10/8/2020)*** New member here... have a pretty cool back story on my '05 CR250. Never really thought this would happen but here it goes! Bear with me for the lengthy post... Back in 2005, my dad helped me buy a brand spankin’ new CR250 (I was only 13 at the time and working for him as a landscaper). Just to give a sense of how much I cared for this bike... before even riding the bike in 2005, I disassembled the forks and rear suspension to properly grease all the...
Just curious what everyone, who attended the race thought about it ? the layout is cool from a racer standpoint. But as a spectator did anyone find it a little congested ? it seemed like only two or three main areas to view. anywhere else besides those places were nothing special and far away from the action. Just seemed a little harder to get close to the track in a lot of places. I watched/stood just past the covered bridge on the camp ground side, as to avoid the huge crowds in the two main areas. It’s also not really...
It's located on 280th street, in Garwin, Iowa. It's not easy to find. Many cornfields to navigate around. One must be determined to find it, i saw no signs, directing one towards her. Hear me now, if this track was in Ohio- and open for practice, there'd be a thousand riders every time the gate opened.
95% done. Few small things I need to do. Black stripes on the seat like a geico bike, gas cap overflow hose, cover up the pro taper swingarm decal, front fender arches, debating on a red bar pad and black grips. But otherwise it’s done for the most part, runs great looks good and was a classic budget build nothing fancy. I’ll post photos from the race this weekend.

I will not spend a penny on gear commemorating a man who cant stand for his Nation's Anthem! A nation with a economic system that allowed him to see wealth beyond the comprehension of most in the world! Millions to chase after a ball... and boo-hoo I am so oppressed! Fuck off! Should re-name him "bitch mode"!
