Take it from a guy like me who's been clean/sober 15-years last month...Nico Izzi will ONLY GET/STAY CLEAN & SOBER IF HE WANTS IT MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE IN HIS LIFE, MORE THAN RACING,MORE THAN FAMILY, MORE THAN HIS DAUGHTER & MORE THAN THE MONEY. If Nico wants to get & stay clean for any other reason than himself...he'll get high again, that is a 100% guarantee. And, no...the racing community doesn't owe Nico shit. He needs to humble himself, walk in the front door of a 6-month residential treatment facility...

I’m not saying in all cases but the few families I know that have had generations of addicts I believe is caused by the trauma the young kids went through because of they things they saw and situations they were put through by their addict parents and they eventually end up going the same road. A girl I was friends with was molested by her moms junkie boyfriend all through highschool and her mom was too strung out to ever do anything about it. She later became an addict likely due to the shit she went through as a kid

It's complicated, and individual. Hitting rock bottom isn't always what does it, nor everyone abandoning the addict until they get sober. That usually makes things worse, and reinforces their belief that they're worthless. Nor does making life comfortable while they detox, for the 27th time. An addict gets sober when they decide to get sober, for whatever reason that may be. You can help, and just letting them know you value them is helpful in itself, but there isn't an amount you can do for someone that changes the fact that they'll get sober when they're good and ready, and...

We are venturing perilously close to plane old fashioned sexism here. Some of you guys need to tone it down a couple notches. It's juts a post on instagram or whatever. The sensitivity levels for hardcore dirtbikers shocks me sometimes.

Criminal behavior should NOT be tolerated on this forum. Last time I checked, riding a dirtbike on public roads/ riding in mob mentality/running from police/straight up thuggery/intimidation of other road users is a criminal offense. These videos and forum posts should be deleted right away. By allowing these posts to stay up means the mods are enabling this behavior.

No chance. He used to blow the doors off some of the guys he’s stuck behind. He’d put 1 minute on many of them per Moto and now he’s struggling back at their pace. It’s him and the bike feeling/team not getting it done.
