I think that building from what he knows seems like his best move as an outsider with what limited knowledge we’ve got. Comfort and predictability seem to be really important to Chase. Even if the bike isn’t perfect for him at the moment, he knows what he’s got and can build on that. Resetting all over again sounds a lot riskier for someone who operates off of a very specific set up.

I don't see him being any better or more comfortable on another bike. I really think he will set himself self back another year if he moves on.

I'd be surprised if he left. From the outside it seems like the team (Ian at least) has his back, and the bike looks really, really good with him now.

He has an opt out. He doesn’t have to do anything to get out of his contract.

AP is likable and marketable, but I’d have to say Tom - especially if he performs outdoors and AP doesn’t

I was surprised when KTM signed AP in the first place. He had been around for a little bit and didn't seem like a contender to me. I figured Decoster saw something he could work with.

I don’t know how the adults around him haven’t stepped in and seen he could benefit from some more time off. I get gate drops and all, but stepping back after the horrific year last year to recover physically and mentally/emotionally. This season isn’t going well at all, crashing a bunch, he’s about become a dad. He can still help develop the bike and not lose his confidence riding LCQ’s. I guess having the bike on track is more important, and a good fill in is hard to find.
