1/27/2019 9:23am I finally got around to finishing the silencer for the 250. This one took some time because I had to fab the brackets from scratch. My friend Matt G took care of the welding duties and I just did the finish work. Now it fits much better than the Pro Circuit one did. For some reason the mounting brackets on the PC silencer weren't even close to working with the stock pipe? Here a few pics of the process and the finished product.

1/27/2019 9:23am Once these bikes are broken in I am going to test these forged Wossner pistons. Usually the Wossner parts are just a bit lighter than stock but I have not weighed the stock TM pistons so I am not sure if that's the case just yet.

1/27/2019 9:22am For this build we went with the Tubliss system. We've never tried these, but they have good reviews. Installation was a bit different than what we're used to, but not all that difficult. The front is actually heavier than stock, but the rear is lighter, which we found to be a bit strange. We might replace the front with a standard tube for that reason, plus I've can't recall the last time I had a front flat but plenty of times pinching the rear.

1/27/2019 9:21am Some goodies showed up from Faster USA yesterday!
Faster USA hubs laced to Excel A60s. This is one area where we're sacrificing a weight increase in favor of performance and longevity. Stock wheels are really light, but these are a lot stronger and stiffer. They've also got an extra bearing on the rear drive-side to beef things up some. We've run Faster USA wheelsets on our last 4 shop bikes and have never had a problem; we've never even had to touch them with a spoke wrench, everything has stayed tight as new!

1/25/2019 5:31am Update on my RC 250M build. After spending time chasing parts are here what I have been able to get a hold of since last update.
Hinson clutch cover. Never before been fitted on an engine.
Engine taken apart and ready for ultrasonic cleaning.

Engine ready. Fully gone through, new bearings and seals, HRC gearbox, all engine parts ultrasonic cleaned and all bolts are replaced by HRC titanium and aluminum bolts.

1/25/2019 2:57am I doubt it. The newer models have two optional mounting positions that the rider can select. One position being lower than the other. I think this started on the 14 450 models and the 15 250F models. I eyed the peg mounts up on the 19 450 at my dealer and I liked them. They looked like they would fit my newer Kx250f’s but the brackets from a 15 - 19 KX250F with the optional positions do not fit on the older frames like you have. Curious, why do you want to swap peg mounts?

1/25/2019 2:57am The 450s have been adjustable since 2012, that's why I thought it was possible. I need to change one bracket as it is a little bent, and being the 2019 ones nicer than the older ones I just wanted to try.

Now off to our buddy China Myron to work his magic and get us some more power. He did our motor for the YZ125 we built and it runs amazing with the porting and head work he did, so I'm really excited to see what he ends up doing for this 250. China has a dyno now, so we should be able to have an idea of what sort of power it's making when it's all done. We...

1/24/2019 4:48am One thing I don't like with the replacement t-hoses (any brand) is that they no longer fill up the hole in the frame so it looks a bit odd. We just happen to have an SLA 3D printer, so we whipped up some custom rubber grommets to clean it up a bit. The printer basically solidifies a part layer by layer from a vat of goo. These printed out in about 6 hours, then they go into an alcohol bath to remove the excess goo, then into a UV chamber for curing, then the supports are cut off, and finally...

1/24/2019 4:41am Been after one on and off for the last few years now, but managed to finally pick one up yesterday... sort of feel like i found a bit of special bike after the junk i've been looking at lately .. Although it's not immaculate, the bones of the bike are perfect, it's done a genuine 6.8hrs from new. I bought it off the original owner, he was in forces stationed in the states for 6yrs back in the day and bought the bike new from Lejeune Honda in Jacksonville in 2007, then ordered a load of bits from motosport and...
