I think they have a fix for it hitting false neutral. I race for a triumph team in Canada and my team mate has had issues with it popping out of gear. They were able to get a part from triumph for the shift mechanism and he hasn’t had an issue since. I raced the 450 as well without the new part and it didn’t hit neutral for me luckily but I stayed in one gear essentially both moto’s. But shifting a few times into the race I was lucky it didn’t do that to me. Great bike, lots of...

In 10-15 years ago we had a couple of deaths during the summer here in Sweden. After that we raised the age for being able to go pro from 15 to 17 I think it was and pushed hard for a class called 125 U17. We don’t run superminis in Europe so we ride 85’s and the next step is 125. We had a class called 125U (U stands for ungdom that is the Swedish word for youth) that riders between 14-16 could run. And that worked fine until 2004 when Honda/Kawi/Suzuki released their 250fs and our sanction body re-named...

I’m an older rider, raced and loved 500’s, but also raced every size of bike along the way. Spent years on 125’s. And they were exciting to ride and race, and exciting to watch too. The thing is, it’s not just the power of the modern bikes, but the handling too is so good that the speeds are higher than ever before. We are not going to give up our modern suspension. But would it really hurt anything if we gave up the ridiculous power levels we’re at now? Kids are on 250f’s at young ages, and those bikes are...

Triumph seems to be having issues on the corporate level understanding what they should cover out of goodwill on the initial warranty claim. If you have problems with your Triumph push your dealer to explore other avenues with Triumph corporate beyond the initial basic warranty claim. It seems that they automatically deny if it’s beyond the 30 day warranty without taking into account whether it’s premature failure of an item that shouldn’t happen. Myself and plenty of other Triumph owners with phenomenal dealerships have had Triumph cover repairs beyond the warranty period. This is where picking the right dealer is...

I agree completely, The OP does not have one but of course he knows of 8 people and 12 bikes in the midwest with problems. Not sure why he is so emotional over problems of a bike he doesn't even own. Now if you own a Triumph that has problems that's one thing but to say things like "Dealers don't know what to say but are completely OK with telling buyers to fuck off and pay" maybe we should take his post with a grain of salt because his feeling are getting in the way.

Triumph rep- “Throw a few whips on this bike for our photographer and we’ll cut you a fat check and give you free Tigers for life.” Zero chance Ricky was burning 5 gallons a day production bike testing.

Replacing the bad parts with the exact same bad parts won't really help long term. They need to come out with updated parts before they start fixing them. I hope they step up and help the customers.

I have had my 2024 250 for a year now and initially had some shifting issues with a false neutral or missed alignment if the shift drum - thus major loading to the transmission. Problem solved with a YZ250F Shifter. The issue as I saw it was, the bend is wrong and the shifter might not fully engage the next gear as it hit the counter sprocket. I discovered this when I was testing different shift heights. Plus I really did not like the feel of the stock shifter!! The new shifter (IMO) corrected the not full engagement and the...

Because ultimately pro riders are marketing tools. Places like Indonesia etc are seen as big bike markets, not mx specific but for brand exposure doesn’t matter. More money in mopeds then mx. I expect your find factories have a big influence on the fly aways .

Funny how it’s all “damn fans ruined it” — but the council/police refused the alcohol licences because the organizers failed to get a grip on it after YEARS of issues. If they’d run it tighter, this probably wouldn’t even be a story. It’s not just fans acting like idiots — it’s poor event management too

Yeah, a slightly different (leaner) map was used but there wasn't any time to spend developing anything. That'll come with time though.
