In JT column on racer x he said southwick just got more interesting.  Mxgp is a weekend off so does Herlings finally come over and jump on sextons bike?

I believe Sexton returns to racing at Southwick.

One could only hope. At this point Herlings on Sextons bike would be more exciting news than Sexton on Sextons bike..

Not according to Sexton apparently. Lewis interviewed Ian and he said he believed Southwick, and Chase retweeted "incorrect", and Lewis later said he believed Red Bud now.

Considering he's over 200 points out of the championship we can dream right? By the way, does Herlings Ironman performance look even more impressive now in retrospect with how hard its been for Prado to adjust?

Was about to say the same thing, makes Herlings' win that much more impressive.

Oh no, Boom. He’s coming back at redbud. Your “insider” buddy is messing with you at this point.

He's nowhere near back to the form he was when he previousl  took a trip across the pond for Iron-man so I don't think he'd be interested

It's hard to compare them though. Prado was only ever going as fast as his limit allowed him to, Herlings was risking everything for a win back then and wanted to break everyone else with 50 second gaps. But yeah, 2018 Herlings is still the fastest MXGP rider we have seen I think. The only riders I'd compare to 2018 Herlings are 2015 Tomac, 2016 Kenny and Jett.

Yes and considering he was eating McDonald’s for breakfast on race day makes it even more impressive

John Dowd ate breakfast lunch and dinner at McDonalds for a while when his now wife was working there and he was trying to get her to go out with him. I don't know when that was, but he was married in 1996 and finished 2nd in the 250/450 points in 1994, 4th in the 250/450 class in 95  and 3rd in the 125/250 class in 1996 then 2nd in the 250/450 class in 97.

Maybe we all just need to eat more McDonalds??? Was it the McDonalds that helped him? Or did he stop eating it and that was when his results took a big step up ? Either way, I wonder why McDonald's has never been a sponsor of MX or SX?

Maybe eating McDonalds is the secret to riding sand very fast? I wonder what other great sand riders also dine there?

That would be awesome to see Hearlings show up at Southwick and get that race with Eli he was talking about years ago.

Lay off the substances bud, herlings hasnt been relevant in 2+ years. He's most definitely not beating Jett, or even tomac l

I don't know about Herlings, but Cornelius Tøndel is racing Southwick, RedBud, and Millville.

IF... big if... he were to win Southwick, that makes him eligible for SMX. He loves money, would he line up and give it a shot?

How about Desalle at 'Dilla in 2010? Battled Dungey hard. Herlings at Ironman is for sure the gold standard though

Will Herlings win Lommel this year? Has he regressed that much, its not a given?

He’ll win at Lommel, just look at his performance there last year, he was unbelievable. That said, I don’t think he would win at Southwick. It’s not as deep as Lommel, and I don’t think he’s quite on that form yet. I would love to see it though, if anyone can do it, it’s him
