Fluck me. Jett is tall and strong and growing into his man body. He hammered Ferrandis last time they raced, and that was at Pala. Ferrandis won the 450 outdoors the next year: as rookie. Jett humiliated Sexton* last year at MXON on a barely sorted 450 and will do it again this year.

Jett is amazing, and one of the title favourites, but he's still a rookie. I see his rookie season being one of blazing speed marred by small mistakes. It's equally likely that he crushes it at Pala or he has the speed to crush it at Pala but gets second because of tip overs and bad judgement calls.

I shouldn't be surprised that this quickly devolved into arguing about how muscular a 19 year old is. Off season talk happened fast.

AP and Marvin are considerably skinnier than Jett.

I can't help but believe that Sexton learned a very valuable lesson about patience and consistency last month. Even if he doesn't win this weekend, I'd bet on him to be right in the mix and stay towards the front all season.

All three riders are faster than snot...but I believe Jett has a history of wins on this track, and it would be tough to bet against him. He and Sexton are healthy as well, but Ferrandis is coming off of some down time...which may effect things. I'm saying Jett FTW.

The first round is of little consequence in my opinion. Remember in 2010 when Dungey, fresh off the sx title, had so-so results at the opening round? Then the following year did awesome and RV, fresh off the sx title, didn't do as great at the opening round? Both went on to win the title in their respective years despite first round results.

It’s gonna be wild if 18 and 23 separate themselves and go head to head like 23 and 3 did

Jett has crushed Pala for the last 3-4 years so I would expect him to either win or be damn close

It’s a win win either way for Honda. Have 1e and 1w in 250s or have more media coverage with them racing 450s in a depleted field. They could get hurt either way

If the Lawrence’s raced 450s at the last round they would do very well especially in this depleted field. Then there will be a dozen threads on the next coming of Jesus, I mean the Lawrence’s. Since hunter will be out, danger boy wins his first race.rinse cycle repeat on the hype. Imagine the story lines…..

Is Hunter definitely doing another year 250 sx? Would love to see them get bumped up together. Another year of this will slow his trajectory. At least 250 west 450 east? Please.
