Only $10 for all 2026 SX, MX, and SMX series.
Amazing that the series is going out on a track destroyed by God and a race canceled at half distance.

Jimmy Ellis '75. Also a short season.
I know youre making an assumption. Im trying to tell you I actually heard otherwise, it was an interview with either Tony Cochran or Adam Bailey. They were explaining it. Its been years so I dont remember the exact podcast, so I hope it all makes sense from the wsx link I posted.
That's a bummer. Hats off to the promoters. They did a pretty decent job of getting it off the ground. It couldn't have been easy.
I guess the only good that will come of this us that Super Duper Motocross will go away.

WSX had potential and was great for international SX fans, but they made too many mistakes. I'm sure the folk at Feld are gleeful.
Heard the closure news on national radio today while driving at work. Didn't have that on my bingo card.
There's no such thing as a viable dirt bike racing series without manufacturers devoting a big part of their marketing budget to subsidizing it. When that didn't happen, it was only a matter of time before they called it quits.
Biggest question to me is do some of these SX/WSX deals become SX/outdoors deals? Feel bad for the guys that signed the deals but they had to know this was a real possibility.
Your link does not say anything about the teams paying the promoters to be a team. Maybe they paid a small fee for a license application or something but that was never the topic. I am not passionate enough about the WSX topic to keep asking for clear evidence or research it myself. I was hoping that someone could provide a link that says, "Teams paid a fee to the promoters to be selected as a team.", but that didn't happen. I am not someone who is worried about being proved wrong, that is how people learn. However, this isn't a topic I am passionate enough about to continue.
Remarkably ridiculous.
It was a BS series from the beginning that hardly anyone gave credence to. A red headed stepchild of actual SX.
Well that was the best $40 I ever spent for a TV package.
Now I know how Bernie Madoffs former clients feel.
I don't think it was ever published, but the teams had to pay a fee in order to join the series. The owner of PRMX told me it was 100k back in 2022. Then you had to show you had the budget to compete at all the rounds.
Maybe @ML512 can chime in on this.
Well I feel bad for them teams who paid it.
I think they had hopes for the series to grow, so if you bought one of the 10 licenses and it grew into something, you could sell your spot for a lot more than the 100k.
Now we're here.
Who didn't see this coming from the get go.....
I think you just summed up SMX perfectly.
Which is weird because they gave a partial refund after they cancelled the 2nd race, you would think they would be offering refunds for the rest of the cancelled series now. I would not be mentioning it and realizing I got bent over if they had not already done a partial refund once, but with no mention of it yet.. I guess I am feeling the love now. I know it is only $43 or whatever, but it is the principle.
Lame.
Yep, them too.

Relying on Investors to provide money is as reliable as asking a 4 year old to keep a secret.
I wouldnt be shocked to see the Aussie Series become the platform for more US based riders in 2027 even if WSX goes ahead, heck Stark have committed to the entire Aussie SX Series this year.
Stark are happy to race wherever they are allowed to. They had been legal to race in every Australian series for a couple of years... except AUSX, that has just changed for this year.
One silver lining from this WSX wreckage, for Stark, is that Michael Hicks should be able to race Paris SX since there's no conflict of schedule anymore. He's currently undefeated in France SX tour so he should be able to defend his red plate and it would be a great opportunity for him to compete for Prince of Paris against riders like Sacha Coenen.
By the way Paris will be packed this year: Rocsen, Coenen bros, Malcolm, AP, Vialle, Shimoda...
Good. 17 rounds of SX, 11 rounds of MX, and MXdN is enough. F everything else.
Yeah great if you live in America, other people want to see these athletes ride in person too, you know the current New Zealand, Australian, German and Spanish champs.....
Yeah you'd think it would be easy enough to understand, the series name is kind of a tell.
AMA SX is very cool for American fans to attend, and others to watch on TV. World Supercross was a great opportunity for fans outside the US to attend SX races with some of the best riders in the world.
Not to beat a dead horse but I was listening to the Blair Matthes project today and they spoke about fees. If what Steve says is accurate then I am correct about Wsx paying the teams not the other way around. Steve says WSX paid each team $600k. Made a joke about Brandon getting 600K and leaving after the first year.

Funny the teams had to show their proof of budget but the series was always on thin ice
Probably didn't want to grant a license to teams only for them to be a no show after two rounds.
Ironic isn't it.
”Just” go to the US and watch a SX…
SX will never be the same in europe anyway just like a US MXoN will never be the same as a MXoN in europe.
Save up, do travel, its worth it!
I've been to Salt Lake city, Vegas, Washougal and Pala, I've ridden Glen Helen, Lake Elsinore, Fox Raceway, LACR, Cahuilla and Perris.
I'm so grateful that I did but not everyone has that opportunity when we live at the bottom of the world.
No, it won't
