Dylan Ferrandis Retiring

He also was the first to beat Herlings in 2016 MX2. Herlings had 8 perfect weekends, then first race in Trentino happened. Epic race!

He was great on 250f and outdoors 450f when he was with DV. They god some magic. 

Thanks for the memories. Always enjoyed watching him ride and great style. 

I think that’s a good call, but they better be serious.

Not a chance Ducati can afford Chase and he’d be crazy to go there. Feels like he’s going to stay at Kawi. 

What could have been if not for the wrist and thumb injuries.  Still, a great career.

I think Dylan is underrated. Most people only think about his 450 title. He was crazy good from 2019 - 2021. 2 West coast titles 19 & 20, 250 outdoor title in 20 and the 450 in 21. All he needed was the 450 SX title. 

Congratulations Dylan and have a great retirement.

Yeah the injuries hurt his stock for sure because he’s had a rough time since the 21 title stringing together any really good results. He was clear number 2 to Jett outdoors in Jett’s rookie year but that’s as good as he’s shown since 21. 

Dude was a monster in the DV training era tho.

I always hoped I'd see him regain his form, even for a race, but it never happened. Hopefully he'll open up about whatever his issues have been since he's retiring, because obviously it wasn't just the bike. 

Damn I didn’t see that one coming, but he had a career most dream of.
Good luck to him and whatever he chooses next. Will miss seeing Dylan out there though.

The season he battled JMart for the 250 outdoor title was a banger.

32 yrs old.  He had a good run

It sounds like the Ducati Desmo might be..... kinda shit. Barcia and Ferrandis were just constantly testing no wonder they are bouncing from the team.  

That’s life with a new manufacturer I think. 

Ferrandis called it the best chassis in Motorsport prior to a1. Just shows how little is known til they go racing. 

Dylan had a great build up to that stellar '21 season where it all come together.  It looks a little like an anomaly now, but statistically it shouldn't.  He was good from 18 to 23... and was always a threat.

Dylan ran some good races on the Ducati, I think its fair to say he finished better on the Ducati then he would have as a privateer on a different brand bike.  

Bravo Dylan. Really enjoyed watching him haul ass over the years. Going out with his body and mind intact 

His 450 championship season was awesome, but I think finishing 2nd to Jett in '23 on a bike he was very vocal about not liking was almost just as impressive. Congrats on the great career, Dylan, and enjoy retirement.

Such a bad dude with an unreal career, super bummed how the last couple years have gone for him, always thought he had the sickest style and never really got to see him ride much in recent times due to tv coverage not covering riders around t10. Blowing the doors off everyone in his 450 title and his battles with Jmart in 250 outdoors where both all time moments. 

Used to hope he would get back to his winning ways. Was fun to watch. I think DF could have challenged ET3 for some of his wins if he had stayed healthy. Maybe won another championship. The feet/ ankles and hand/fingers/wrist are our bodies connection to everything. Especially for these professional guys. I think he had some wrist hand injuries that he never recovered from.

I used to think that docs could fix everything. I realized after some thumb and wrist injuries, sometimes they can't. You just got to live with it.

Has he indicated any plans for a second career? Maybe in the industry or in a family business? How about staying in the U.S., or will there be a return to France?

Could have been MX2 champ had he not been up against Herlings.  

Great rider, back to back 250 and 450 championships was a huge achievement.

Seewer wasn't riding SX leading up to A1 when those comments were made.

Earlier this year i got a blowout deal on a new Moto 10 DF edition. He is a great rider for sure. Great career. 

I always liked rooting for Dylan. Guy was a total beast. We got lucky to have him at his best in America. Cheers to a great career and all your accomplishments.
