Ken Roczen retiring after SMX?

How could he not run the #1 plate next year after working all these years to get it? Even if he rides around in 10th, he’s gotta run it imo

I've not been paying attention I guess...is Kenny definitely in for SMX?  

Have to be doing fantasy picks soon and wondering how Kenny stacks up to the guys who've been racing this summer. 

Ken raced a Red Bull truck 3 days ovr the  weekend at Crandon .  I think he’ll run the #1 plate in sx . Then do what ever he wants with Red Bull sponsorship.  Cool one off races maybe even a big 2-st races & vintage , etc

I hope he runs that big #1 next year. I don't care if he rolls around in 8th place. 

I've wanted Kenny to come back to the top ever since A2 2017. Dude earned it. We should celebrate with him.

When I saw him strapped in like that I get the skeeves because those things catch on fire. His next video was of his truck catching on fire. But he got out pretty quick. Not for me. Let's say your truck is on its side and you can't get out.

I saw that pic , good for Ken to meet different good folks in racing.  The Ams oil good old boy probably talked Kenny into snocross & drag racing sleds at 200 mph.  & Eagle River world championship oval sled racing. That would b fun just like the truck race 60+ fans there .

There's a few Roadkill episodes with the Pro2 Finnegan bought and made "legal."

It ain't all sunshine and rainbows, even when edited for TV drama. A race car flat out sucks to drive at anything but full tilt. Heck, a race UTV sucks to do anything but race with. Been there, done that.

Climbing in and out of a full roll cage dropping just right into the containment seats ain't fun. Then add in the relentless heat and noise. No thanks!

MC was super happy when he got his 1st win because it’s hard to do.  He talked about a different track Bark River , 900 hp wo in a left sweeper into a right sweeper then launch a Huge floater , supposed to be a big rush. Rick Johnson & Deegan raced them & his daughter 1 yr.   Eagle River world championship oval , would be another cool race for Ken . They raced that since 1964 in below zero weather , another big crowd. It used to be live on the wild world of sports on abc. It’s the winter times Indy 500.  And ice drags 170 or 200 mph in 1,000 feet . 1 team was testing parachutes 2 yrs ago. Another ice drag the women wear bikinis , which is crazy as hell.  Ken should do a hill climb too get it back on Live tv .  

I think he will retire. Maybe do one or a couple farewell races next year but i don't think he will race the full season.
 

Don't know when he'll retire but when he does I could actually see him do a Cairoli, give a hand to a new manufacturer and maybe do some wildcards whenever he feels like it.

Didn't WSX shit the bed fucking Kenny over, they could have the current AMA Supercross champion racing the series.

I'm even more convinced now when i heard his interview on Pulp. To be unsure about retiring or not at this point of the year is telling.

And to be honest, it would be a mistake to line up for the whole series if he has doubt in him.  

The pulp interview Monday he sounded like he’s been burnt out for years and grinding through it.  Going out on top would be an awesome move at this point.  This sport is so dangerous and the mathematic chance of just making it through a season healthy is so low, especially 2 or 3 in a row.  

He’s the man and did the impossible.  Big respect Kenny 🫡 

Sad day bad day if Suzuki doesn’t get to run that number 1 plate. 

I could envision an RC scenario where he races 6-9 SX throughout the season. Suzuki gets to run the plate, Kenny gets to race with no pressure. 

Limited schedule for SX like RC did. But I'm pulling for him to run the whole series one last time.😊

Could say that about the SX and MX series’. Take away the money and participation would plummet.

My guess is Suzuki is going to provide a big enough check to have that #1 on the RMZ for the whole SX series, Now, will Ken be as motivated as 2026? Remains to be seen, but I would have my doubts.

Man i couldn't handle losing Kenny and Eli in the same season. 

It is going to be weird, and sad.  We are going to be losing a lot of the old guys over the next 1-2 yrs.
