That’s sweet
Cool video but very little information about the actual bike
Plenty of information, new photos etc at kawasaki.com https://www.kawasaki.com/en-us/motorcycle/kx/full-size-mx/kx-327

At least let's hope they make a road-legal version of the X for Europe...
Thanks for link! Very good information about the new kawi
As a Gen X kid who grew up riding through farm fields & woods pretending I was Jeremy McGrath while goon riding my heart out, and now a Vet class rider who wishes for a toe nail sliver of Alex Hodges' steez, I feel extremely targeted.
Can we get a video of carson brown riding one now?
They are going to sell an absolute metric Shit Ton of those bikes. 😄
As a Kawasaki dealer, I was thinking the same thing. We got allocated an R and 1 X. I'm sure bigger dealers will have more but I don't think they're dumping a metric shit ton of them to begin with anywhere.
Oh to be a young man again. BRAAAAAAAAAP....
Pretty sure that's Slayground...with Sutherland Dam and Black MTN in the background.
A metric ton is about 2200 pounds. If that bike weighs around 220 pounds, that's only ten units.
I think they're going to sell around two hundred metric shit tons. 😆
Metric SHIT ton ,way different conversion...
Without question, Yamaha will have to react in a very big way to hold onto more of their share of the 2-stroke market, and that is just as exciting to anticipate.
Even the bigger dealers are only getting a few of each, some only 1.
Why would they go to all this trouble and release so few bikes the first year?
Never really heard it get above 7500rpm or so in the video. Is this the nature of it being a bit bigger than the KTM 300? Those lug great then pull pretty well up to 9k or so.
Always thought the KTM 300 delivered the best of both worlds. Hopefully this KX isn’t a midrange-only motor.
I didn't see a kickstarter anywhere on that bike.
Pit Row
I thought that ESR 325 got that market covered. The official bestest vitardest bike there ever was.
And OZ - well, for a whole lot of other markets.
That's where the true High sales are - being able to be ' plated ', in so many markets.
Yeah I’m sure most want a 327 top end screamer
My local dealer told me they are getting 10 KX-X models and 5 KX models. I sent them a message after A1 in 2025 when they released the first 2 stroke sound, can't wait to get mine! (getting the X model)
They must've made a fortune out of that 20 year old tooling & BNG, it's time they spent some of that cash on a new bike
is your local dealer close to me by chance, san diego area?
Coming from the woods and dualsport worlds, I at times kind of admire when a brand simply just keeps it rolling with the same model. Good for aftermarket support and parts availability. Ain't broke, don't fix it.
In a more serious racing world, that doesn't really work, but for filthy casuals like me, we usually don't mind.
I'm still in the market for a YZ250 over this thing because I can build it how I want it and I have thousands and thousands of used examples to choose and pull parts from.
Once this thing hits the used market, then we're talking.
All I meant was the KTM can do both pretty well (lug and scream). Hope the KX can do that too.
Tbh I'm also in favour of minimal changes over the years to keep things sensible, but the market is bursting with new bikes all of a sudden and the market has got very competitive again. Yamaha are going to have to get their wallets out 😄
I was a little jaded towards them too, until I raced one all last season. That bike is the definition of "If it ain't broke". It was awesome. I can only imagine the advantage it had back in 2006.
I raced YZ250's from 2006-09 and they're a great bike. It helped having them stay the same too, as it means you can get a new one every year and just put the old plastics on saving myself having to explain another new bike.. 😜
The 30+ B/C class is going to be so torn between the Ducati 450 and the KX327.
It would be really cool if Cagiva got back into the offroad market with a 2 banger as well.
