Herlings is the Euro Blubba Stewart. The crash test dummies of MX.
Incredible speed, until they crash BIG.
Herlings doesn't do stupid shit like Stewart did though.... like pulling out onto the track without looking for traffic, and get landed on.
Who crashed away more championships they had in the bag? Both around 4, innit?
That said, quite the comeback, eh? How long has it been since his previous 'ship?
Jeffrey needs to defend his MX1 title to be in the same conversation as Everts and Cairoli.
Looking foreward to do ing just that….. very soon in france.
Leaving for france Sept 23

We need to see Jeff v jett/hunter.
In years where Gajser was healthy he has won 16,15,14,14,13,9 and 8 motos in MXGP.
This year he has won 2 motos.
It has been a disaster.
I would say the only good thing for Yamaha is that now they cannot hide anymore behind the ''íts the rider excuses''.
This thread needs more photos.
Heck yeah. Well deserved Bullet. Great to see the old dogs still thriving
Nothing left to prove in GP”s ….come to USA next year would be the ultimate flex….
Would make zero sense from HRC's POV.
He lost one MX2 title (the one Jonass won?) after breaking his femur while holding a massive points lead. As his lead slowly evaporated over the last few races, he came back at the final GP - with a still broken leg - hoping to score enough points (a couple of tenths or something needed?) to still take the championship. He was unsuccessful.
His day-before-the-race x-ray showed he still had a massive gap in the pinned break…
Fekkin’ Ironman.
Agree, but HRC does not always have the riders best interest in mind….just thinking about 84”s legacy…with seemingly little competition for him in the GP”s and the talent just keeps leaving for US National series….I”m sure if he wanted, he could put together a deal to make it happen….
Yeah, he was tough or stupid to try that. If that was yesterday, even I could have got a couple of tenths. Crazy watching a race with that few riders.
One year Jeffrey got hurt riding an 85 at Everts’ charity race or something. That was the craziest one I remember for him.
And remember in 2019 when he broke his foot during the sighting lap at Kegums when someone had crashed at a jump and Herlings hit the bike? Still won the first moto through pure adrenaline and will but he couldn't line up for the second moto and the title was lost that day.
So many crazy injuries that has also been completely out of his hands.
Tixier won the title that year.
He also raced numerous domestic championships during off GP weekends for fun/training, and out of a sprinter van.
Pit Row
JH already did quite a 'Flex', at Ironman, way back in 2017......
Herlings crashed on the downside of a jump & Jasikonis run over his foot. He got the bike back to the waiting zone, the team straightened the bike out, he won the moto but didn’t start the 2nd.
1st moto at Oss 2021, he got landed on by Montichelli because Herlings start device didn’t unlock when he hit a jump, Ivo had nowhere to go. Herlings broke his shoulder blade, still won the moto. Herlings has had some serious setbacks but he’s still dug deep. Herlings is the best no doubt in my mind.
Hes has an awesome style, I always enjoyed watching him race.
The femur break on the RM85 is legendary.
It was a KTM.
Dude was unreal this year! Plus it was his first season on anything but a KTM and he proved it doesn’t matter what is under him. Way to go champ!
Not even the best in his generation.
Gajser has 4 championships. Herlings only has 3
Bro what.
They both came in healthy this year, both on new teams, and Herlings put what 200 points on him with 2 rounds to go lol.
Or is this bait…
Love Herlings! Congratulations!
Honda is the dominant bike of the world. They figured out something the other's haven't.
Not bait. They've been racing together for years and Tim has the most championships. Spare me the "healthy" bullshit. Being able to go fast without getting hurt IS the point.
And let's not even begin to compare him against Everts and Cairoli. He's nowhere close
Then explain this season…you’re right it wasn’t even close, but not the direction you’re claiming 🤌
The claim was best ever. Not this season.
