A friend of mine broke the same bone Jett did (talus) rock climbing after a piece of protection failed. It's been over two years and he still is dealing with effects of it, and for the first year had difficulty mountain biking. It's a very serious and tricky injury, no idea why people are curious why Jett is still having issues

Probably for the best to have him back on form for SX. I know there is money on the line but I don't think the SMX chip bares as much weight as SX or MX

Tell us you didn’t listen to the interview with Dazzy without telling us lol. He quite literally said no matter where Hunter finished this season his salary was already set. Their family lost tons of money because Hunter won and Jett lost because Jett only gets paid if he wins nothing for second or third.

There is literally footage of Jett from Pala 2022 trying to help Hunter and telling him he was trying to let him by to help him in his title position. If he's attempted race fixing for his brother's benefit before, this time it was obvious he did it again but for Capital gain.

I believe humility, guilt, conscience... whatever word you want to throw in there has contributed a least a fraction of the reason for not running SMX. There are prob other legit reasons as well.
And here after moto 1, Brian was chest pumping himself in the mirror that his son exposed the Law Firms plan. What plan?

It was cringe watching that interview of Deegan before moto 2. If Jett wanted to hand the title to Hunter he could have tucked the front in the woods section instead of riding 35 minutes through pain at a slower pace. And watching Jett struggle all year riding compromised and Dr. Deegan diagnosed the injury (Round 4-ish in the series) when he said “Jett can’t really use the ankle as an excuse from here on” basing his logic on the fact that Jett could still do Jett things (1-1) while riding on a very compromised ankle.

I like to think that Haiden will mature and become a great professional. But then I reflect on the fact that the House of Deegan was not built on maturity, but on exploitation of a certain mindset, and that seems to be fully supported by the biggest sponsor in dirt biking. It makes far more sense for them to ride this train until the wheels fall off, if ever. I get it.
I agree with some of this. I don’t think there was any money on the line or contracts or that it was preplanned in anyway. We all knew Jett was injured coming into the season and I wouldn’t be surprised if he injured himself a little more, but I think he let up to let his brother go by. I don’t think he wanted to see Hunter lose the title that way, and it was clear to me that he let Hunter go by.
I think that Jett not racing SMX is for the reasons they stated so that he can heal up. It wouldn’t have surprised me if he didn’t race SMX no matter the outcome of the championship since his foot still needs time to heal.
