For the 2nd moto start today, most have seen Kitchen and a few other riders tangling up and blowing the first turn and headed towards that photographer. Well, that photographer was me haha. I've seen comments online asking if I was fine and to answer, yes, I got out of that situation somehow completely unharmed. I went right back to shooting pictures after that. I know someone was less than a foot from my back at one point, but regardless, I made it out safely (and 1000% lucky). Feel free to follow my Instagram/Facebook/TikTok at @svn94photo. I will be at the last two MX rounds, as well. Just felt like making this post as an update to the comments I've seen online and a thanks for people being concerned too. See ya at Budds next week!
Edit: here’s the last photo I got before I ran 😂

But did you get the pic of the chaos?!
Pics or it didn’t happen! 😉
Just uploaded the last pic to the text body, such a long day didn't even think to.
Somehow I made out with a few pics of it before I had to sprint haha.

These Star kids are straight up hazards on the start!
Great pic.
Lil bro is literally going left in a right hander
Great pic!!!!
Awesome photo! Very strange to see 4 Star riders turning right while one Star rider is going straight/left. I’m not accusing them of doing this on purpose but man this looks like Landen Gordon was setting his team up for a great start.
If it looks like a duck....
Remember. Davies was a victim of a rookie on a Star bike in turn 1 too….and got zero points. Clearly the star bike is usually the fastest bikes off the gate…but rooks not ready for a pro level turn one crowd. No way any rider is putting his own health at risk driving across all the riders to help a teammate. That could have been ugly. Great pic though!!
who's the dingleberry that gave the photographer a down vote? that was a great pic....
So...if Phil was still racing...he would give the throat slit gesture to Landen Gordon for NOT TURNING RIGHT?
There is a point in ...the start straight...where it BECOMES THE FIRST TURN...not and endless straight to Canada!
Eh...a new Star guy...eager to please his boss....to the inside of Kitchen...FORGETS TO TURN RIGHT...allowing Davies to get away unscathed?
Nothing to see here friends, racing incident.
I think it was #star180mom.
The cameraman never dies, you were lucky!
Cool to have watched it happen and then see the guy himself post this lol
Bobby Ragan does have a reputation for being willing to do anything to win. That does contribute to a question being raised in a case like this.
It's really cool that ryderyeck794 shared his catch with all of us!
He hooked bars a second before that.
Wil Hahn because he is mad his teams start strategy is being revealed too clearly here.
Remember Kitchen was also a victim of that crash
Pit Row
It happens . . . a bit surprised they let people shoot from there given the restrictions around first turns earlier this year.
Frickn sick of these futures riders from star yamaha ruining races cause they daf if they live or die off the start.... geeezussss
I’m genuinely beginning to think Star is purposefully sending one of their riders to weed the first corner and mess with Kitchen because this is beyond ridiculous at this point
That reasoning could work but he pushed people ridiculously far off the track. Further than the typical effect of tangling bars.
@ryderyeck794: Is that you in the blue tee shirt? Looks like you ran the wrong way. Glad you did not get run over.
The only "right" way is straight up. It's a total crap shoot with that gaggle
I’m with Seemefirst. If I ran the other way I had a way better chance of getting smoked by Gordon.
After officiating races/practices for 15 years, I have found myself in similar situations.
I believe up is the only correct direction, but with that pesky thing called gravity, it's hard to go up. 🤣
You didn't get smoked, so you chose wisely. (Or luckily)
hahaha legendary post
You know I am actually beginning to wonder if there is anything intentional to these starts. I know there is 100 star riders. But they are wiping Levi fairly consistently. I know when you actually think about it, nobody would make that risk.
But Looking at a photo of a Star rider literally going the wrong direction...
No I don't actually think this is the case. But it is happening a little too often.
I had the exact reaction after I saw who the rider was who made the left turn. Never saw something like this happen in a pro start when 3-4 riders just go straight at the first turn. If I were Mitch, I'd want some answers on why #180 decided to turn left, away from the first turn.
He was punted to the left a second before that shot.............
