I constantly read threads from fans about the announcers and the media and they are all "clueless' as to why they say things. Yet apparently too clueless to realize each time they start a new thread over the "3rd place guy".
Here is a thought for those that "hate" Deegan, the more YOU talk about him the more the media will.
Here is an example, Yesterday in the post race press conference, Jett and Hunter made fun of Deegan. It was funny, smart, and well deserved. Its a good thing. Its entertaining. The Ying to the Yang.
The reality is you guys should appreciate Deegan. You now have someone to hate on each week. Which funny enough, also lines his pockets because probably half his views are hate watchers lol.
But my only point is Deegan says so much that you dont need to go around "making things up"....
He’s got to learn to ride a gear taller. You can see his bike kick and deflect and the Lawrence’s just soak it up.
You always mention how it makes him money, 99% of us could care less if it makes him money, you think deegan would rather make a lot of money or be going 1-1 every weekend?

Yes. His 450 style is all bark no bite, just rev it to the moon so he thinks he is gaining 2-3 seconds a lap. He wants to make the 450 his little bitch when he needs to respect the engine and its power delivery, and use that to his advantage. Obviously Jett and Hunter long since figured out how best to ride them.
He has to adapt or be content with duking it out for 3-5th place. He'll have two sets of elite brothers here next year.

The 450s is a weird class right now because it's objectively weak compared to previous yrs, yet conversely has arguably THE 2 best riders in the world in it... Haiden is obviously very good but it's hard to gauge a near last to 4th place ride (well before the end of the race) in this field. To be fair he can only race what's there and he rode well and with passion. But perhaps he put a little too much into it and would've ended up in a similar position 8 mins etc later anyway, with more energy to spare for race 2.
On flipside he was silly to make a rod for his own back at the start of the year. People can say what they want about taking things too seriously but the end result looks pretty silly... He also strayed too much into the distasteful with unnecessary personal stuff beyond the usual smack talk.
Brian once said Haiden believes in that stuff (getting in people's head) but truthfully the real reason he won so much in the 250s was because he was just plain faster than everyone.... Doing that alone will soon get you 'in their heads'.
He needs to be smoother, stay on the pegs more, work the bike, ride the bike "quieter" (for want of a better description). Doesn't matter that he has more talent and speed in his little finger than I'll ever have - we can all see it i.e the way Jett and Hunter are rewriting technique like Ricky and James once did. That is the new standard.

Even as a fan of him I didn't like the shirt and had a feeling he wouldn't beat Jett this year, but he has in some moto's. It seems he is gassed for moto 2's if he has to come through the pack moto 1. I hope he gets better, and wins a moto, but who knows if he does this season. I am glad he's been more humble recently, but I also like the smack talk. He will be better next year, he just needs to change his riding style a little bit and flow more on the bike, and as he learns, the bike setup will improve.
Are they not required to wear team shirts around the pits?
