If i remenber well, Farres stated some time ago that he hasnt any interest in coming back to the States because he was alone and had a hard time with injuries there
He didn’t bring any family/parents with him when he came over the first time? He’s peaking on a 250 right now and can be a title contender on one in the states rather than moving up to the 450 in the gps.
Does Mitch need to let go of the “rider” side of things and focus on the technical side and making sure the team runs well?

Maybe but would it really change anything? Its not just a Kawi/PC issue in picking the wrong riders when it comes to the 250 class. After Jett and Hunter moved up Deegan was the only consistent rider. Outside of Davies (with the exception of this past weekend) the 250 class seems like a collection of riders that can't stay on two wheels.
Consistency is definitely a bigger issue than talent in the 250 class. Plenty of dudes can absolutely rip. But doing it for 30+2 or a full SX main is no easy feat.
This isn't your PC of old. The days of late night shop work trying to find that little extra is gone. Unfortunately, Bones and Jimmy Perry aren't coming back.

Every time a Romano or a Thrasher gets signed, just like everyone else I start to think why are they signing this guy who's been doing this forever and is a known quantity, but then I look up their age and they're around 22 and it makes a little more sense. Plenty of guys don't find their way and get it all together until much older than that and I think this approach and the 18 year old pro requirement is probably overall healthier for the sport. Need something else to fill the developmental gap now though. 450 is old man's class, 250 is middle aged, need a series for the young men that races more than a few times every year.
The fix is simple.
Take the futures/combines, scrap those
Make Pro-sport series (ama A class) The A class rules. It provides an actual series for guys to race, it puts it on the national level and it's also a spot better suited for the low level privateers who only show up to 1 or 2 events.
have jt run opposite of the wmx for outdoors, 6 rounds and then run maybe 8rds? sx, east west 4 rds each. Now riders have a real series to compete in, and earn a real title
I could be misremembering but didn't they announce that futures will run half the rounds next year splitting with wmx?
I dont know where to post this but when a team like Husky folds specifically due to financial issues do riders ever have to worry about not being on a bike that gives them the best chance as the team may be trying to avoid paying podium bonusses by, I dont know, maybe giving the riders suspension they know wont bring them comfort?? This situation with RJ and his forks is very odd and it got me thinking - theres been other instances in the past where a rider is leaving a team and a weird DNF will suddenly pop up....
Chalk it up to RJ liked the way his forks at home felt and didn't want to take the time for them to build a race set and risk them not feeling the same.
If a prime team as PC needs to sign Trasher, I start to understand why Malin says that the top 5 in MX2 Class would wax all the Americans in Southwick and probably in the championship.
Seems like we went pretty far in two directions regarding factories hiring 250 riders
5-10 years ago they got rid of any second or third years that weren't capable of winning and hired the next best things from amateurs, usually 2 a year or so.
Then the last 5 years it's swung the other way, keep the older more experienced 250 guys in the class longer and try to mold them in to a position to win.
Star has kept their am to pro pipeline largely intact compared to the other 250 teams. That combined with the best motorcycle in the class has resulted in them remaining the top 250 team for what are we at almost ten years now?

I think this guy would beg to differ about your characterisation of th 250 class as the 'middle age' class...
I don't think Star has a real pipeline to the amateurs, so much as Bobby just swoops in and buys up all the good prospects other people have discovered. It happened to DB a few times when he was head of the KTM am program, notably with Davies and Minear...
Blair might consider it since he is the walk on water type too....
It’s not stars fault that DB and ktm dropped the ball and didnt offer these kids pro deals.
