Man that was really cool to see his ride this weekend. He was ripping! Big shout out for his tenacity and not giving up on his career even though it’s been pretty tough. This is the kind of stuff that makes me love moto.

Pumped for him!!! I’ve been saying it in other threads, but he is the biggest surprise for me this outdoor season. His speed and consistency has been awesome, he was down in the first turn in moto 1 this weekend and worked his way up to 11th, stoked on that podium moto finish he had!!

I'd love to see him follow it up with some more top 5's. He was looking fit and aggressive at the mid point of that moto. Seems like it should be repeatable
He is one of the many reasons why our 250 class this summer is damn fun to watch. All fast, anybody can snag a W, and all busting their asses to prove themselves...... Best group of kids we have had in years.

100%. i think i've just earned some enemies that just hate vote anything i say idk. that was super cool - how it must feel getting that sense of redemption of getting back to where everyone 'expected' him to be as a hot prospect amateur through sheer hard work and determination after so many have written him off, and to do so on his own terms.

What’s crazy is riders at his level still need a side hustle to make a living. Said on the weege show he still has to flip bikes to afford to go racing.

Was he not receiving a salary to race for AEO ? Top 10 rider outdoor not making a salary is crazy.

You'd think so, but I don't believe it's uncommon. Rodbell was getting top 10s in the 450 class while crawling in attics during the week. There are probably countless examples.
Mumford was absolutely ripping last weekend (and this season in general). I hope he keeps it going and stays healthy!
At the time he signed with AEO he had been on 6 teams in 6 years and not one team wanted to sign him to a second contract. Perhaps his results and apparent fitness and re-signing to a team for the first time ever are indications he's matured a little.
